Was it wrong to not give TP a proper send off?

As most will know I'm not a big Pulis fan but I am grateful for the journey that he brought us on. I can't help thinking that this was all arranged back in January when the so called "blip" started and the real plan was that TP was to go upstairs and have Rudgies job and in come the new manager.

I don't think it was ever Coates' intention to release TP and wanted him as part of the backroom director of football staff. TP being the pig headed tool he is had none of it and so went lock stock and barrel.

What does aggrieve me though is that he should have at least been given a proper send off from the Brit. Last home game or some kind of testimonial as too much was at risk to let him know he was going towards the end.

As much as most disliked his tactics I'm sure they would have given him a rousing round of applause!

I totally agree mate, can never fault what he has done for us and he really he should have been shown that we appreciated what he had done in previous seasons. Good Luck Tony Pulis wherever you end up (as long as its not back at stoke ha ha)

Not for me and like you say - he effectively sacked himself with his lofty demands and failure to compromise.

I lived by the sea for 4 years Ricc and they were the best 4 years ever. It was North Wales though <laugh> Days like today we would end up walking down the beach after work and call into the Marina for a drink!

Certainly does Ricc. Nothing finer than being at the coast. Last away day at Southampton I took the wife and daughter to Bournemouth on the Saturday for Sunday's game. It was a great weekend and will defo do it again this coming season. Only problem is it might be the middle of Winter next time.

We we're in Bournemouth last Sept it was fantastic and P.S. Was that giant Deck Chair still on the beach? Must of been at least 40ft tall. Red n White stipes too I took a photo of it..

Me Ric? I would love to move to Majorca we go there every June ie a week Friday... two mins walk to the beach, great views, cheap ale and usually avg temp is close to 30 degrees. <ok>

Well Potts and Waddo. Neither of you commented on the piece i drafted on Pulis for the Stoke Southern Supporters. You obviously thought it was too balanced!

Will put it on a thread for others to see, although it is a bit dated now!

I would expect nothing less from your mate, balanced and constructive - even if its not how some feel when the tension is/was running high.

"If there is one major disappointment about the end of the productive and successful TP era, it's the state of the squad we have at our disposal after 5 years in the Prem and so much money spent."

"We're now almost totally bereft of options on the flanks, in defence, midfield and attack, we have no genuine centre half cover, we're lacking productive midfield options (with one of our better midfielders saying they want to leave) and our goal scoring problems are well known"

    Sums it up for me!

We were not given the chance and he was busy throwing his toys out of the cot, that man would cut his nose off to spite his face.
