We actually sat next to a couple of Liverpool supporters (two kids and an adult, one of the kids in Saints gear) that game. It was very entertaining, dared not say anything to them out of fear of making the child cry.

 

Dernbach and Woakes are still yet to show me what they bring to the table for England in ODIs. Although at least Woakes brings a little something with his bat.

 

Shame Broad and Finn out. Looks like we won't build on great start...set too small a target.

 

Indeed, unfortunately Jimmy wasn't backed up well and we let them off the hook a bit, although Taylor is a classy player. Only just recovering now with Bresnan and Swann, but we'll need to bowl them out from here which won't be easy with them in cruise control.

 

Puyol in a press conference now, he's retiring.

 

He's retiring due to a knee injury being worse then first thought. He had a op and it took 2hrs more then expected.

 

Now he's saying he hopes to be back for preseason, so scrap my last two posts. I love how spanish to english gets mixed up.

He has said if the knee injury returns or he can't get 100% he will retire.

 

I have absolutely nothing to do today, and I find myself browsing for more strangely visually stimulating videos like the article Dan posted the other day. I really enjoy watching sushi chefs prep tuna.

Really getting into Pointless now, but can't believe how poor so many people are at geography. Only 3 people knew that the island which contains Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei is Borneo. Only 21 knew that the African island with loads of lemurs is Madagascar. I feel like I could do well on this show.

Also a woman just looked at a picture of Axl Rose and said it was Kurt Cobain.

My friend got knocked out on Geography when he went on well it wasn't his fault, the other guy he was with got a wrong answer, it was something like countries with the most forest and he quite reasonably said Germany, but it was wrong. I would do badly because I know nothing about music, TV, films etc.

I remember there was a "guess the planet" round once and only about 90 people could identify Earth! I swear some people when asked just take the mick.

 

There was a blind man on The Chase today and in the final round an answer to a question was The Blind Side (which he knew), and another question was something to do with a lack of sight is due to lacking in which vitamin? Bit harsh!

 

I love the game, not so much the show. I do quite well but usually get three connections and fall down on characters from a 80s TV show or Bronte sister's characters or some such. The fan walls can be right bleeders too.

Haha I remember that actually. I thrive on the Geography questions, but find myself frequently surprisingly disappointing on football ones.
