Can't see him 'definitely doing it' but more surviving in League 1. Have a lot of respect for Kedwell but can't see him getting more than 8-10 goals next year. If he isn't taking penalties that figure may be closer to 5. If you look at his figures they are okay (16 goals in a team that won the league is hardly amazing) and without penalties he would had been closer to 10 than 20.
Kedwell with Cody next to him next season would be a great Strike-Force and I think that they would get a lot of goals.
Would love to see Keds stay at the club, think he is a great squad player and i think with the right summer additions and some added pressure on his position we might see more from him. For me this season he was very inconsistent but there's no denying his impact when on form, the question is whether he hits top form regularly enough...
gfc1234-Your constant gushing comments about Kedwell for someone that was inconsistent at best last season is becoming tiresome.
its not gushing, its just being complimentary of his contribution to the team. kedwell is the complete team player. you obviously dont like him, so are going to be negative even though he brings so much to the team. he even had more clearing headers than last season's entire back four.
We will have to agree to disagree. From memory 6 or 7 other players played more league games than Kedwell last season so perhaps in MA's eyes and lots of fans I know he's not quite as indispensable as you think. Take away the penalties he scores his goal tally is very average and let's be honest he's not exactly the most mobile player in the world. I really don't think MA will start with Kedwell much next season he's a backup striker at best. UTG and let's move on.
If we don't get someone like Cody. Stick Weston up front with Keds behind him. I say again Weston is wasted on the wing and hinders Martin. I think losing Charlie Lee for whatever reason could cost us. Because I cannot think off the top of my head at the moment one current squad player that matches Lee's style. So Keds is the least of my worries and I'm not sure why the focus is constantly on him. Like Lenny states let's move on.
