MIKELE LEIGERTWOOD snubbed the chance of a Championship winners medal with QPR for his Wembley date with Reading. The midfielder, 28, made nine league appearances for Rangers - enough for a medal - before his November loan switch to Royals. That move became permanent in a £1million deal yesterday and Leigertwood is desperate to face Rangers in the Premier League next season... if Reading beat Swansea in Monday's play-off final. He said: "Some people thought it was a bit of a gamble to leave when QPR were top of the table. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image (maybe if the ****er learned how to pass straight while at Rangers he would still of been there rather than shipped out to Reading)
We sold him for 1 million? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Im happy for us, and im happy for him. Good deal all round imo. legs done us decent service over the years, was one of our best players the year he showed up. Unfortunately he looked lost the last 12-18months and was well behind players like Ali, Buz and Derry in the line up and his comical performance at home to Norwich last season was the straw that finally broke the camels back. Had done well at reading tho, hope he gets them up monday. Thanks for the service Legs, and good luck
As if often the case with players Legs seems to need regular boots up the jacksie in order to maintain any kind of form. A loan move to Reading would have done the trick but only temporarily. With a new deal now nailed on Reading supporters might be in for a shock next season.
Great piece of business. If true, we've made a 100k profit! I could never get how a player that could strike a ball as sweetly as him, was unable to find one of his own teammates 10 yards away with a pass. Just like Stonehenge and the great Pyramids of Giza its just another unexplainable phenomenon that makes this world so wondrous!
