Nope! Wouldn't sell at all. We need to find a suitable partner for him - either a Pedro or Sir Les role!

Risky, but what about this - his sale paves the way for an acceptable offer for Andy Carroll, essentially a straight swap. I'd take that. We already know Carroll is available, we all know for how much and terms will be a formality.

18m could bring in Austin, Rhodes and Ince. If you think of it that way it's a no brainer.

....with the operative word being "IF". With this club, you just don't know. We had to wait an entire year to bring in Carroll's replacement, we cannot possibly do that this time, we'll drown.

But is is not £18M! It is 18million Euros. I personally would not get rid of Cisse at all. It wasn't his fault he was played out wide and has had no service! He is a remoulded Andy Cole and will score lots of goals given decent service. What is Rhodes and Austin going to do to get goals? Nothing! We need a partner for Cisse and a replacement for Jonas in the team. We play Anita instead of Tiote and wham a good team. Tell the players to ignore Pardew as well.

Are you deliberately and conveniently ignoring his shot conversion rate from last year?! Are we overlooking the number of offside offences he committed?! Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the guy, I just think you need an aspect of reliability in a striker and there were not enough external reasons for him failing to get anywhere near 20 goals.

18m euros is still £15m - conveniently enough around the price of Andy Carroll.

Bony and PMA, plus AC with Cisse going to Russia and Shola to the Boro.
    I'd take that.

No I am not, but he had no partner, no support, no supply. In fact for several games towards the end of our season he was pretty much the ONLY person to put in any effort! If he had had the whole season in the centre with proper service he would have got 20 goals. I do not understand why people are wanting to replace a player who is going to get you goals with a player who is a 10 goal a season man?! I would buy Carrol to partner Cisse, yes, but to replace him, hell no!

Fair enough. It depends on the tactics, I guess. I don't know if 4-4-2 works these days - Linekar hammered Hodgson for England's latest rigid effort. And I don't think we're a lot better. So I see it more as a system that we can't really provide. Yes, we should have options, but I don't know whether Cisse's right.

What should be noted was Freiburg frequently played with Cisse on his own, but he was just quite well supported and his finishing was much better.

As much as that? I'm no accountant, but I don't quite see where this club is getting the money for Bony AND PEA.

Which means it will come back - all top strikers have a lean spell, even Shearer had one.

I personally think a top two of someone like Carrol with Cisse and HBA just behind scurrying all over the place (no sodding defensive duties) with a middle three of Cabs, Sissoko and Anita. Cisse and Carrol can both go out on the wings if need be (not as wingers) but to support HBA wherever he is and will mean we still have the other in the box!

I'm not fussed either way but if he did go that means you need 3 strikers. Not 2 plus a winger/striker or any of that ****, 3 genuine strikers. Otherwise you are retaining Shola as a 3rd choice. Or 4th if you promote Campbell. That would not be accetable to me. We need 4 genuine options. We have two at present in Cisse and Campbell.

Better the devil you know for me. I'd probably retain Cisse and buy the 2 we need. One a physical option like Bony, Carroll, Austin. Then you need a deep lying Rhodes, PEA, type. If you said we'd sell Cisse and sign Carroll/Austin, Rhodes and Hooper then I'd be fairly happy though. I can see what will happen with Mike though, it'll be the old three card shuffle and before you know it we have sold Cisse and and signed two. We are then told we've strengthen which we will have, but not at the level required!
