Would it need to be justified though, if Poch left of his own accord? Not saying he will, as I doubt he will.

 

Would your opinion against Pochettino need to be justified if he left? Erm, that doesn't make any sense?

 

Letting Pochettino go on the premise of getting Laudrup would be no more than a glorified sidestep.

 

So, you take a half season and use that in comparison to one full season and a pre-season. Hardly a fair comparison. You say they both play good football. You say Laudrup has impressed you (and me), yet still you say he's better than Pochettino on an unfair comparison. A psychologist would tell you that somewhere in the back of your mind there is a tiny anti-Pochettino nodule and under further checking, they'd identify it as a very small niggle based on the fact you didn't want Nigel to go at that time and it is still hiding there in the back of your mind.

Oh come on. You said Laudrup is an upgrade on Pochettino and I questioned it as it can only be based on an unfair half season comparison (which by the way probably favours Poch, statistically). You made a throw away comment without any thought or justification. Hey ho doesn't form a Debate or discussion; you'd be better off saying you hadn't thought it through properly.

But i honestly don't think my opinion has anything to do with the events that happened in January, that doesn't even come into consideration. I'm a fan of Poch, his style of football and the way he wants to bring through the youngsters.

It might well be an unfair comparison, but what else can I base it on, having little knowledge of the foreign leagues? Sorry, but I can only judge what I've seen with my own eyes.

This discussion is fairly pointless anyway I suppose, Poch is staying with us for the duration so ......

 

Do you think it'd be worth the upset in harmony (three managers in the space of six months!!) for something that even you admit isn't a massively discernible difference?

Pochettino is very good. Laudrup is very good. Biannual manager changes are not good.

Ok. Lets hope it's pointless and Poch stays. One reason being is that I believe if we'd won the league cup in Feb/March and been 9th in the league with Pochettino in charge, we'd have gone on to finish 7th. Laudrup has shown a poor management capability with Swansea's showing since winning the cup.
