Just playing Devil's advocate here but if....and it's a very big if...Laudrup was to leave, who would you like to replace him?

I am going to throw one name into the ring to start things off - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer!

As I said, just playing Devil's advocate, am hopeful that Lauds will still be here next season, whatever the EP try to stir up - but why not have a bit of fun and conjecture in the interim.

He plays the team to their strengths his game in the CL final was spot on. Also this was a similar tactic that we used to defeat Chelsea wasn't it! I think he has the balance of tactics and pulling power for good players.

I'd go for Weghorst - who is already lined up. He's got a name in the game by now. Knows the players, the playing style - and has a (Danish) championship (as a manager), national coaching + euroleague paticipation in his experience. He was a key player in 3 out of Laudrups 4 seasons in B-by; and has the playingstyle Swansea practises in his blood.

btw - heres a teaser on Wieghorst:

Agree mikra - but if Lauds left would be worried that Wieghorst would go with him!

Don't think so - only person following ML in his clubs so far is the scout (what's his name??? I forgot). He had John Jensen (former Arsenal) as assistant i B-by and Getafe. Wieghorst is a completely new figure in his backroom staff. My first thought when W got here was that he'd be a better long term figure in Swansea than Laudrup himself...

That's an interesting opinion micra; you know how we all feel about Laudrup, but Wieghorst is an unknown quantity - would love to hear your opinion about him!

    Mikra,
Do you mean Erik Larsen (Re: Laudrup's scout)?

Well my basic impression is that he's a very talented coach and a great personality - the missed penalty actually says it all. And then there's wiki - they're better than me:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morten_Wieghorst

He's got a great reputation i Denmark (except for playing in B-by ofcourse) and was amongst 2-3 coaches realistically mentioned as candidates for National Team Coach, the last time Morten Olsens contract was about to run out.
    I have positive stuff only...
