NEWCASTLE United could be set to revive their interest in Barcelona star Bojan Krkic.

The 22-year-old has been on loan at AC Milan this season but has scored just three goals in 19 games.

The Magpies were linked to Bojan last summer when the Spaniard was at Roma.

Krkic’s father, also called Bojan, told Spanish press last week that the player was “considering what is best for his future”. He is believed to be happy at Milan but the Italian giants are unwilling to fork out the pre-agreed £12.5m fee to make the loan move permanent.

It is thought that Milan were interested in extending his loan for another season but Bojan would prefer a permanent move.

The youngest Barcelona player to feature in a La Liga match, Bojan made his debut in September 2007 at the age of 17. A month later, he became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer in a league match away at Villarreal.

He has flattered to deceive since showing early promise, though, and was sent on loan to Roma in 2011 for two seasons with the option to buy. He only scored 11 goals in 33 league games and the second year of his loan was transferred to Milan this season.

Known for his ability to cut inside from the left wing, Bojan boasts an impressive scoring record at youth level but is seen as sellable in Catalonia, with Lionel Messi, David Villa, Pedro, Cristian Tello and Alexis Sanchez ahead of him in the pecking order. He is without a goal in any competition since January.

Both Roma and Milan are now believed to have snubbed the player, meaning he will return to Barcelona as an outcast. Liverpool are also though to be interested.

He isn't garbage but he isn't Prem material, he should look for a decent Ligue 1/Bundesliga team or maybe a top 8 La Liga club.

Besides the word on the grapevine is that Newcastle and Blackpool are set to agree terms over the transfer on Tom Ince (It was The Daily Star who first reported a prospective bid being lined up) and also Siem De Jong has come out and expressed his desire to move on from Ajax, he was quoted as saying " Perhaps now is the time for the next step, abroad." - a long term target for Newcastle. if both Ince and De Jong are done early (if at all) I'm not sure how I would contain my excitement.

He's failed in every league he's played in, Barca can't get rid of him, and he only ended up there because of go Dad. He's a showreel player (as the YouTube clips support) with no discernible end product. Either way, I doubt well sign him.

Ince would be great, as much as I statement of intent than anything else, but I'm sceptical. I would be amazed if we signed the captain of a champions league team, particularly as we mismanaged his former team mate to the point of ridiculousness this season.

An interesting summer lies ahead, that seems obvious.

Always looked like a talent but has never really delivered. If we were going to take a risk and spend silly money I'd rather it was on a Hooper, Rhodes or Austin
