I would actually suggest that being in the Champions League for a 'handful' of games a season is the biggest shop window in the world. Look at Hoopers team mate, Wanyama. One excellent performance in the Champions League and people **** themselves silly over him despite not being overly brilliant in his other games. Players want to win games and trophies. Not play well in a team that is eventually relegated (of course you might not be, but it's a strong possibility).
you either have me on ignore or you just can't stand im right again HOOPER WOULD NOT SAY NO TO A TRANSFER TO HULL CITY <OK>
They've won the competition, runners up in the UEFA cup, play infront of 50K+ most weeks and last season beat Barcelona. I don't think coming 17th, at best, in England will make the deal happen, do you? I hate when City fans make ****e arguments. Use your head before you say anything ffs!
The ****e argument Macca's Right Foot is using. He'd only come to City for money. We don't really offer him very much- it's a relegation scrap, or guaranteed success.
He would come to city to fill his boyhood dream of playing in the English premier league if he plays well for us, he gets A) a move to a bigger club or/and B) an england call up **** hodgson is refusing to call him up at the moment, and he's pretty desperate
Didn't Norwich offer something silly like 8m in January? So yeah, the bigger teams are very much interested.
Norwich aren't interested anymore. They bought Van Wolfswinkel for around the same price as, at the time, Celtic weren't accepting.
He's not getting in the England team because they're are better players in his position at better clubs. Even if he comes here and was a success, he wouldn't get into the England team.
That is all but a bet, norwich will struggle almost as much as us, that's not a bigger club and you know it!
unproven, he is a die hard goalscorer, for heavens sake we couldn't beat ireland hooper is a much better player than many believe
trophies two decades ago don't count and they won't for him stop being jealous because you didn't get promotion this year
No, £5.5m and that was by instalments dependant on goals scored, with a low "deposit". Celtic wanted "Cash" up front, and of course are now more desperate as he moves into the final year of his contract.
