Thats a rumour - yes started already despite Hughes only being in the job for a few hours!

Personally that goes against my wish for us to sign younger players - BUT I would make an exception in this case - obviously providing wages/transfer fee are acceptable.

You do need a few experienced players in along the way. And he is a Rangers fan.

Perhaps it is journalists putting two and two together - Hughes known for liking Hoilett, Redknapp known for liking Crouch.

Great. All we need now is someone who can deliver service from out wide/crosses/free kicks/corners more than once a match.

Crouchy would play for the badge but I fear his best days are behind him. Might work out I guess.

If we sign Crouch then that proves that Redknapp has lost it. Totally run out of original ideas.

RTID ................ I think that is the problem we are all facing. We don't know who's coming or going and it is very hard to make head or tails of anything with our team.

Hi Aussie. The 'sound of silence' from the club makes me feel they are also scratching their heads wondering what the hell to do next. Worrying.

I'd take that swap for sure. Get DJ and Crouchie upfront for an all-QPR supporting frontline. Nice. <ok>

Crouch will score a lot of goals in The Championship. In fact if you get him he will be short odds to be top scorer.30ish I reckon.Could turn out to be Sparkedout's first big error.

Based on what? I'm not sure. He's more a been there and done that and now looking for a comfy dotage. I don't see a lot of clubs clamouring for his attentions - and don't forget he was at a club that scored all of (I think) 14 goals at home last season?

My worry is that he's ageing, and just not going to be as hungry as he once was - just as likely to be another payday for one of Harry's ex's?

Based on the fact that he is going to be up against defences like Yeovil rather than Man Utd.

Perhaps. But playing against us will be likely to motivate a 'it's their cup final' mentality.

Defenders will want to prove themselves and will highly motivated to be up for it. As I intimated, will the wealthy, Premier League star be equally as determined while he's being kicked black and blue around the 6 yard box on a rainy night in Yeovil?

This. And Hoilett was worse than SWP.
