Aye looks good. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/213932-Iago-Aspas-apparently-is-a-done-deal-9million-euros
That is telling me that Liverpool are willing to let Suarez go at the right price if he hands in a transfer request. From what he said yesterday Suarez days are numbered.
well there is always the "loyalty" bonuses to break i guess. torres seemed to feel pretty sore about having to lose his to get to chavland.... his bench won medals bought for him by the Russian billionaire and earned by the sweat on john terry's borw can't make up for those millions i guess. I think the main thing is getting it done BEFORE bale and then extracting the maximum for the guy. I've no issue with it after that as we should be able to get a top fee for a top player and add to our team... i think some in side the squad would sigh with relief to see the back of the guy.
Read a similar statistic somewhere else too. According to Fifa 13 (as always, the most reliable for understanding the true ability of a player.. ): Decent free kick taker Decent finisher Great positioning (88/100) Quick off the mark (in terms of acceleration) Good ball control and dribbling skills Great agility (91/100) Great reactions (86/100) Overall: 78 (Same as Coutinho when he first came). From this information, which has changed in an update, he looks a very good player, Suarez-esque comparisons seem pretty accurate and those statistics may impress even without the fact that he was underrated in the game (e.g. vision and short passing wasn't anywhere near where it should have been). Personally I hope this isn't Suarez's replacement because if he isn't, we'll finally have 3-4 strikers who can compete for a starting place which is what a top team needs.
"Personally I hope this isn't Suarez's replacement because if he isn't, we'll finally have 3-4 strikers who can compete for a starting place which is what a top team needs." completely agree, sadly i think he will be a replacement, still hoping for the day to return where we strengthen to what we have already and really go forward, always feels like one step forward two back for too fecking long.
If we do get the reported £40m for him, I wouldn't mind him leaving if we bought in Eriksen, a good centre back and another striker with that money, but I don't think it'll happen, even if Suarez leaves we need another striker in addition to Aspas, Borini got injured for most of the season so we can't be 100% relying on him, Aspas will have his first season in the league and even Sturridge got injured at the start of the season and in the England game (not sure how severe the latest injury was), we can't take our chances.
was that the goal where Reina ran the whole length of the pitch before any other ****er to celebrate with him?
Thats the one! Apparently Reina ran at 21mph!
Has everybody forgot that we have a brand new scouting Dept as of last October and a newly implemented Transfer Committe that decides signings as a majority. Rodger's doesn't even have 100% control over he we scout and who we eventually sign so this Swansea nonsense is just that. Nonsense. Our new scouts go about their business and then present their findings to BR and the rest of he Committee using statistical analysis, personality reports etc and then they together decide who is our top target, backup etc etc. Aspas will have nothing to do with BR other than him agreeing going after him at the Committee stage. Aspas will be mainly to our new scouting team who will have picked him up, like every other team in the league, on his goal scoring and chance creation record which is exemplary given who he plays for and their performance this season. Our poor business last Summer where we overpaid for Borini and Allen was the old scouts, the remnants left over from Comolli's reign of terror, and BR playing it safe without a decent scouting dept going for players he felt he knew wouldn't let him down. That responsibility was taken away from him in October when Fallows and Hunter were released by City from Gardening Leave and the Jan window just gone was our new scouting dept and transfer committees first crack of the whip and I think most football fans around the country would say Sturridge and Coutinho for a combined £20m was an unqualified success.
