I'm going to but a couple of hundred Indian flags and knock them out on the corner of Loftus Road. I'll share the profits with you Brixton.

I'm sure they would. Especially if we had their Grandmothers available for sale on the stall as well!

Has anyone looked into how much it would cost to make a green-hooped top? This might be too expensive, but if they were sold through the supporters club and made known through here and other social media(hate that phrase) sites, it might be worth printing a run of 200-300....?

<applause> good, informative thread Brixton. and a great idea with the indian flag, in particular - could be the seed of a high profile protest.

i truly hope the high-stakes business deal jockeying theory (gotta be a simpler way of putting it..) is actual fact, and that the goons sell to mittal before the end of the summer. but if not, i can't think of classier, more visible way to show our feelings than having footage of a sea indian flags broadcast nationwide from LR during our first fixture (norwich at home ;) )

There's nothing to prevent anyone wearing a green hooped shirt BUT the strongest message comes from the simplest and most visible action. Rollercoaster Rangers' Indian flag suggestion supported by a green and white scarf is simple, affordable and by the start of the season, easily accessible.

We will complicate matters if we start manufacturing and selling more expensive regalia. Having said that, once we've got the basics of a visible protest in place, people will no doubt embellish this with other protest symbols, e.g. 'Goons Out' placards outside the ground and in front of roving cameras perhaps...

The Indian flag will cause immediate interest in its shock value. It will come to symbolise Mittal and QPR...

I'm sure it will also fuel side debates around the noticeable lack of Asian players in the game (something I believe the Mittal vision seeks to tap). There is a great deal of Asian talent available (judging by school and local league involvement both here and on the subcontinent). The QPR protest could well prove to be a catalyst for positive change in this area too.

Hola,

It's been suggested that as all members and ST holders are OSC members that we use their constitution to force an EGM. The club have constantly refused to meet with fans groups last season - trying to push all communication through the official supporters club. Well, we can force the OSC (and thus the club) to actually meet with the fans. In the OSC mandate an EGM can be called if simply 30 members undersign a written request to them. (Bet the club didn't think of that little gem when drawing the mandate up). Not my work but here's a draft letter written elsewhere...thoughts?

Dear Secretary,

We, the undersigned wish to use our rights as members of the official supporters club under section 3.8 of the Official Supporters Club manadate to call an extraordinary meeting.

The purpose of the meeting would be to discuss the extortionate increase in ticket prices that we feel are unjustified and unfair on the loyal supporters of the club.

We also would like to discuss recent events around the sale of the club and public statements that have been made by shareholders, and are concerned that the Official Supporters Club do not appear to be meeting regularly or meeting with other supporters groups which are also in the Official Supporters Club's mandate as follows:

3.1 The Committee shall meet at such time or times as the Committee shall
determine, but at a minimum would aim to meet at least once a month

3.2 It is envisaged to hold regular meetings with Supporters’ Groups, at a minimum
on a bi-monthly basis

It is deemed that for the above reasons that a meeting be called as soon as possible, with an appropriate representative from the club in attendance. Please feel free to respond to this letter through the official website or through any of the recognised supporters groups, publicising details of the meeting to all members of the Official Supporters Club who would all have the right to attend.
People can download the letter online if they wish http://www.scribd.com/doc/56634446/Dear-Secretary

Thanks Northolt. Clear that Rs fans are on the same page and not going to take the Goon Plan laying down.

Whilst meetings with the club won't achieve much under the current regime, it's a penetrative action that will signal support for the Mittal Plan. That'll do for now.
