I was devastated when Torres left but I feel no such emotions at the impending departure of Luis, don't get me wrong, he's a great player and one I'd rather keep but I can see the logic in him wanting to go, for us to get a bloody good fee (to be used to rebuild) and in Ford we have a little gem we can build our team around.

 

I had more or less accepted this to be the case last night. Just hope we get what he is worth (£40m+ IMO)

 

That great... jack the price up and start a bidding war. as long as its not manc city i'm fine with him going. I might love 50% of his play but the rest is just ignorant stuff. Frankly he's over rated form deep. if we;'d play him wide left forward (not winger) then he'd be great.

I said something similar the other day. I'd rather sell him for £40m to a foreign club than to Man City for £60m. If Man City want him, tell them they will have to break the world record

well I'd rather not sell especially to manc land but i'd take the 60mil! I think 40-50mil would be nice but i reckon we are in for a storm of low ball stuff that we are going to have to ride. My ideal is they do this before the confed cup for a good price and be done with it.

I've called him a thug for month gerrez and you know i have. I'd still keep him mind but if there's a real offer for 40mil he must go cos his value to us is not that, if he makes another faux pas or mains someone he will be worthless and his next ban will be a season.

Its the way of the world i'm afraid. the club will improve its image too in the long term.

I saw a post somewhere on here that Rodgers had spoken to a couple of reporters about this. I think it's almost certain that one of them is my mate. As I said, I'm not going to call him today as he'll be snowed under with this, but the **** will hit the fan without a doubt.
