He was one of the best shot stoppers. But I do t see it as coincidence that the entire time he was the Newcastle No.1 he went through endless managers and some top quality defenders and always the defence was hapazard rubbish, especially when it came to defending corners
Wouldn't say top quality defenders whilst at Newcastle. My opinion he was a good keeper. When he left you lot I'd have happily of had him at united. That said he seemed to go downhill as soon as he left.
Fk sake Jack the defenders and managers you lot have went through the last 10 years would make Carrick Rangers blush. Shay was a great 'keeper although not great in the air. Best shot stopper this last 20 years

I would say so. Nigh on 30 years of hurt for the Tans. The number one moment in Ashley Cole's career.....a 1-1 draw at home to the "worst team ever at the Euros". I can imagine it is difficult to come to terms with.
