    2002–2006 Brøndby
    2007–2008 Getafe
    2008–2009 Spartak Moscow
    2010–2011 Mallorca
    2012–

I hope the news we are getting about £200 million to improve is MLs way of preparing us for mid table again next season, but something is niggling away that it could be a way of engineering a way out - he hasn't shown stamina in his last three clubs.

you can understand if we were skint but we have built up a nice sum over the years and made loads selling players so why the club are playing silly buggers i dont understand...I would call around the £30 million mark a fair sum of money today....its not a huge amount and its not peanuts either.....He dont even have to spend it all but he will have some to bargain with so that we at least have a chance of some of his targets...

This is the worst piece of BS! Nothing is up. We've read a few articles. C'mon the media MUST feature articles on Swansea - we'd be disappointede if they didn't. What would you write if you were a 9 - 5 journalist? Ofcourse you'd get on the phone to Tumulu - he's always good for a stir up i still water.
It's silly season - nothing's happening - they still have to earn their wages!

Yeah maybe he goes, but that would contradict ANYTHING that's been said until now.

They got the big clubs off his back - for now. The window will open i 4 days, wait and see. Stop being foolish...

Agree with Dai. I can see us needing to invest around the 25m - 30m mark on players this season.

It is important for Laudrup to stay at the Swans this season and do well because many Clubs will be looking at him. As Bob the Slob has shown his track record is one of moving from Club to Club - normally leaving because of arguments. If he can't handle the politics of a Club then he will never manage one of the major Clubs.

Having said that, there certainly seems some division at the moment with Huw allegedly having a dust up with Ml's agent. If the Board are going back on promises then they deserve to have their arses kicked.

For ML to suggest we have to spend hundreds of millions is also a load of bollox. It aint going to happen.

There has to be a half way meeting point and the sooner Huw and ML find it the better <ok>

ML doesn't suggest Swans should spend hundreds of millions! It's only if Swansea should aim for CL-glory or winning the PL thouse amounts are relevant. But to MAINTAIN mid-table status money should be spent to improve the squad:

x players have played above their levels

X teams beneath us are big spenders

We are Premier League now remember, top 10 finish and Cup Winners. I sometimes think that hasn't really sunk in yet with all of us. My point is that we are amongst the elite now and have ruffled some feathers. People are taking notice of us because we are having worldwide exposure for all the right reasons and because of this we are in the media spotlight and there are bound to be articles like this regarding our manager and players. Personally I think the board will back ML in the transfer market, they are no fools and they know what a gem of a manager we have.
At least we're not a laughing stock and in the news for having a kit that's 50 shades of red.

agree with this and im sure something will be sorted.......the club must realize that the longer we are in the premiership the harder other teams play against us and you could see that towards the end of the season... Laudrup is not stupid he can see that we were struggling to beat teams and knows we are lacking quality players in certain areas.... he wants to bring in players he has done research on and targeted and the club has let him do the targeting but are now reluctant to play Ball.......I hope they come to some agreement very soon and we dont let another manager go without showing what he can do...

A conversation I had with Brendan at training just before the Wolves game last year as he told us that the pre-season tour would be the US after the season before's was cancelled - He said the club were too tight to spend money and that they were more concerned about making sure that the club existed than they were about moving it forward. A couple of days later he said he wouldn't talk to Liverpool a few days later he was gone.
NONE of us know what's going on so have your opinions and let everyone else have theirs - nice point Bob
