    I can't comment on what it's like in Ireland Ciaran but it has changed immeasurably over here. You can go into town centre pubs for an away game and there isn't the herding and agressive policing that there was in the 80s. Sometimes the police were happy to lead you over a hill and straight into the path of the opposition - i think they were more up for the fight than anyone else!

    Of course this is a view as a Watford fan so it may be different for other sets of supporters - it isn't at our place though - there's plenty of pubs designated for away fans.

    A Watford fan I worked with said the only game where he expected trouble was when Luton came to town. That might not happen for a few more years.
