Agreed, I don't understand how Martinez can be so over-rated. To have signed players like Figueroa and Beasejour, and not dropped them for all these years, was pretty dumb. I think he only won the FA Cup final because the right players were injured (on HIS team), and because City were really poor. Without those injuries he would have picked a much worse team.
No love for Martinez, then. I think he has potential and just some of the special performances he has managed to get out of that Wigan team over the years has really impressed me. City may not have been at their best in that final, but Wigan were brilliant and Martinez set them up perfectly. He clearly has flaws, but for a manager, he is still very young and has plenty of time to iron those out.
Agreed Decent bloke who did okay with Wigan. I'd like to see him do well at Everton. Just can't see him being Arsenal manager though unless he steps it up to a whole other level.
We can't do **** all about it, if Cesc wants to join United and Barca let him. The only thing that would soften the blow is that we would get some of the transfer fee.
