Baines won't be going anywhere. He's a loyal lad & won't push for a move. Only daft money would tempt us to cash in & there'll be no-one who matches the asking price imo.

 

If Moyes was staying, I'd tend to agree...but I think he's a fantastic LB who some top clubs will be sniffing around this summer

I think there will be clubs sniffing and it will all depend on Everton's valuation. Can't see a Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Monaco or Real coming in for him so there won't be a mega-rich club that is willing to pay anything to get their man. I think Man Utd is the obviously option but how much will they value a 29 year old at (let's ignore RvP here, that was different)

Same as last year & no-one was prepared to pay it & the lad was happy to stay. He's that pivotal to us that we put a figure on him that is way beyond the market value for a LB of his age.

 

What would you realistically value him at and what do you think he is worth to Everton / Man Utd?

I think a realistic valuation would be about £12m. I think he is worth £15m+ to Everton but I don't see Man Utd paying more than £10m.

We put £18-20m on him last summer, which for a 28 yr old fullback was enough to make United & the rest hang up.

His realistic market value is probably £8-9M, but he's worth double that to us imo.

I like Fellaini, but won't be heartbroken when he moves on this summer, but if Baines left, he'd leave a void & we'd miss him beyond belief.

 

Not as much as you're going to miss Moyes

 

I see it similar to us with Gerrard over the years, he's always been worth more to us than what anyone else would be willing to pay

 

Cleanse yourself. Baines isn't fit to lace Gerrard's boots now, never mind in his prime.

He could hand in a transfer request anyway. You cannot keep an unhappy player.

 

Of course you can, its not wise to keep an unsettled player if they are going to kick up a fuss but Baines isn't like that IMO
