What is your stance on HIAG re: Board Ban?

Not criticising your decision to ban by any means, just saying it's a similar situation vice versa. He never insults anybody personally too.

 

Don't remember. We ban very few on the Spurs board and considering we have twice the traffic of the Chelsea board it's not a bad record. As you know we draw the line at personal abuse, the kind that some of your posters dish out as a matter of course, so maybe he fell foul of that.

 

No, he didn't he defo comes into the hiag category only he doesn't spew as much bollocks. Just seems a bit rough that he got banned for being prolific as opposed to being banned for being a wum.

 

I am not trying to suggest how you run your board btw I have huge respect for DL one of the best posters on the forum IMO. If he decides HIAG needs to go that's good enough for me, I'm just putting another perspective to some.

I spend very little time on other teams boards, it's the HIAG issue that has drawn me in. He is a WUM no doubt about it and he does cause issues but in my experience he always responds in a positive way for calm down requests. As I have said it is the responders that are more of a problem. It's banter mostly good humoured and that's all.

 

I can't comment on the LF issue because I really don't remember it. Maybe it was before my time or another mod.

Whatever the answer is it's not about double standards because I don't moderate on the Chelsea board. There are different standards on all the boards which are decided by those boards. It's not double standards it's different standards.

 

I don't know much about HIAG or his/her posts which have riled the easily riled but I doubt he/she/it would resort to creating endless threads on the same topic or making threads about specific posters backed up by certain sad followers who lack the wit to do the job themselves. I might be wide of the mark but that logically seems the difference to me, not that what HIAG does is right if normal posters are getting that wound up by it.

 

Great, thats your stock answer out of the equation. But you do moderate and you or a n other banned him for no good reason, he clearly has not broken any of the rules you say you stick by but finds himself banned. How strange?
Double standards much

 

Nobody is banned from the Spurs board without very good reason so I don't accept your analysis.

 

He originally was banned by Ginger and Drogs for the very same thing he was banned this time despite several warnings that continued behaviour would culminate in a ban. Only this time DL informed the spud mods of the situation, (good modding) yet he still maintained the barrage unabated. Its clear it hasn't listened or learned from the experience and needs now to be perma banned from the board.

Banter is great and somewhat fun but reading the same dirge day in day out is very tiresome and attracted many complaints he is the equivalent of Matth, KPR & Northolt and they have all been banned by nearly all.

Except you don't. In the course of giving hiag some of his own medicine back (all done in a humourous/banter way) I was called a tosser, ****er, dick, asshole, pisskie, pissie etc because your lot didn't like the fact that I beat them at their own game.

You let that stand, so Ossie is right, you have double standards on your own board.

 

PleaseNotPoll defends HIAG's right to reinstatement but as soon I suggest my reinstatement he goes missing quicker than a SPurs team in the second half of a season

As for reinstating you on the Spurs board, I think that you already post enough about us on this one. If you were given another outlet then the excitement might be too much for you.

I know Spurf, I'm just saying try to see it from another board's point of view. He's not banned from 4 for no reason!

 

It's very easy to see why he is banned Drogs because his comments invite argument. He will obviously get more leeway on the Spurs board then elsewhere. DL has decided on a very civilised and fair way to make this decision which therefore invites debate. I am just contributing to this debate.

 

It is a shame the Spurs mods and PNP cannot do the same. But not all mods are as good as DL.

The Spurs board loved having us all on their board until may 2012
