What time do you start ?

Serious question as we are up at 5:30 and start work at 7 .

It varies! Today I was in work for 4:45, but that's because low tide was at 7:12. Have to get all equipment sorted and then travel to the beach to be surveyed, and set up ideally a bit before low.
Got early mornings the next two days too. Getting the 5:45 ferry to IOW to visit Fran.
If I'm doing an afternoon survey though, the latest I've been into work is 12:00, whereas today I finished at 1:30. So, yeah, hugely variable!

Varying hours sounds great . We ( Mrs J and I ) do a rolling roster , one week off Tuesday , then Thursday , then Friday & Following Monday , We LOVE it , they keep threatening us with a 5 day week INC Saturdays , that soon shuts some of the moaners up !!!!!

I work Monday afternoon, Wednesday morning and Thursday or Saturday all day....18 hours in all. Tough being partly retired:)

Ps. anyone else having trouble with Player today. Won't work for me.

Fair play to you , hope I am in full time employment long enough to choose to do part time !

And

Not been on there today .

Player back on after being off all morning. Enabled me to listen to Luke in all his glory. included some nice shots of him this season, including his favourite moment setting up Punch's goal against Chelsea.

I took my pensions as soon as I could, so that I could reduce my hours. Still working partly for the money and partly because of the company. When I was young, people seemed old in their sixties, but people are fitter these days. Luckily as most will have to work.

Flexi time is amazing!! So easy to build some hours up too. Work the odd long day here and there, especially with surveys on the IOW, and you suddenly have a day or two that you can take off with flexi. I have about 11 hours currently waiting to be used.

Flexi time is great, use to do that with my old job. Now it's like 50hrs a week:(
