Biggest plus point for me for the start of next season will be the return of Sone Aluko ,who after his lengthy injury absence will almost seem like a new signing at the club.. Its going to be great to watch him in the Premier League and as for further new signings im sure Brucey has it all in hand and will bring in further recruits once the transfer window opens officially on the 1st July.
Not sure we'll see Boyd, Aluko and a new striker playing together unless chasing a game to be honest. 3 players that aren't great defensively is too many in a newly promoted team. Especially if we're playing 3-5-2, the central 3 need to be tactically aware to help defend the wings.
You're not sure we'll see Aluko? The lads our best player, certainly our best attacking player by a country mile. His raw speed, quick feet and sheer unpredictability will be by far our biggest threat next season (unless we sign a real gem like Michu). He'll have a similar impact to that of Geo early on in the season, the difference being that he'll maintain it. We need to get his contract sorted ASAP as if he's as good as I truly believe he is, many will be interested in January.
Read it properly. He says that he's not sure we'll see Aluko playing TOGETHER with Boyd and a new striker.
I would suggest that one of the marquee players that Bruce will bring in will be to play / partner Sone Aluko up front. We need to strike red hot from the start before the PL wake up to just how good Aluko actually is. Aluko to be the 2013/14 PL seasons Michu maybe ??
Ah, fair enough. Probably agree then, don't want to see Boyd drop deep either, he looked poor in midfield.
