As you say about Mel lads a true gent when I was home 4yrs ago I stayed at his place ,and we had a good old chat about the swans and a few beers to go with it.
Doesn't Mel own a B&B on the sea front? The statue idea would be lovely, especially if it happened sooner rather than later as he isn't getting any younger. can anyone think of any other candidates for a statue outside the Liberty? (Except for Allchurch obv)
I say build a financial warchest while we can like Apple has done, and then use the interest to pay wages alone. It's about £28 million as of last season
Mel is still one of the shareholders and would no doubt be blocking any such stand suggestion. He has no doubt had something back from his investment though and who else can say they are known as "Mr Swansea"!
Actually now reading this properly on my PC, Mel owes the club £450k, but £400k of it is secured on the 5% of the club that he is a shareholder of. Still a legend for me though

Almost, we'll never sell Gerrard. I don't think Suarez will be going anywhere this summer either. I have been saying for months that Reina will go to Barca this summer though. If not there then he will stay.
