IF Palace don't win, would anyone see him returning to QPR? Young manager, loads of charisma, modern, fan favourite, great motivator/man-manager and proven at getting teams promoted. Could he be our "chosen one"........??? All dependant on Palace losing, would take Olly over Redknapp at this stage anyday.....
Dont want that prick anywhere near QPR. Why would he come to and "eastenders club" when he could go to a "king lear" club.
Not by me, he also said anyone who thought hed leave Plymouth was mental and then leaves 2 days later. He tries to butter the fans up Warnock style, everyone could see through Warnocks act yet for some reason fall for Holloways act hook, line and sinker. The football was also the worst Ive ever seen at LR, only Hart comes near that.
I agree the our football was unattractive, but Ollie performed minor miracles as our manager. He arrested our slide down he leagues, re-built our battered and bruised club and set us back on an upward path and gave us a team we could get behind. Would I want him back is an entirely different question. If we are looking to retain a number of our egotistical players then definitely not, I couldn't see that working. If we are looking to clear the decks and start again, we could do a lot worse. I wouldn't reject him on the style of football we played during his spell as our manager, his time out of the game changed him completely. His Blackpool team was good to watch; I've not seen Palace so I can't comment on them. However I think that the old adage about never going back is probably worth adhering to in this case.
Palace have played for pens right from the start today, its an awful final. Very similar to the one in Cardiff.
Never had any dollar at a football club, always does well on a tight budget. Could do a good job with a few shillings......
Ollie is one of the many topics that will always elicit a response from me. I feel that QPR owed him a massive debt of thanks for what he did, instead of that Paladini treated him appallingly.
He managed and failed at Leicester. I wouldnt trust him with any amount of money. He will always be a lower league manager like Warnock.
I don't recall the football being that bad under Holloway particularly given the resources he had to work with.
Hoofball, Santos up front despite us never winning a game with him there. Only Hart rivals that for awfulness.
A QPR legend on and off the pitch. Those who complain about his style of football with us should remember he had no money, we were heading for the conference fast when he came in, he stopped the rot and turned us around. My heart says get him in, my head says don't go back (remember Gerry Francis 2nd term)
If my memory is playing tricks on me I appologise but I thought we were in (or just come out of administration), upto our eyeballs in debt (ABC) and I don't remember us spending much
Whatever you think of the style of football he used to play (he had a real road to Damascus moment a few years ago, hence the Blackpool approach) and the way he left a couple of clubs (I have learnt that loyalty in football is an alien concept, why should he be any different?) Ollie is undeniably a good bloke and great value. No way would he be avoiding blame, finding excuses, slagging off players in our current position. I'd much rather have him than Harold, but agree going back rarely works. Lets hope thats also true for Mourinho.
