someone should start a new thread with a poll.

    Breakfast with.......

    tomatoes and mushrooms
    tomatoes with no mushrooms
    no tomatoes but with mushrooms
    no fried tomatoes or mushrooms.

then poll baked beans (wrong in my book), black pudding, white pudding, fried bread or toast, with or without butter bread, poached, fried or scrambled eggs.

O god, I`m starving hungry now

PS with fried toms, mushys, poached egg, fried bread and a buttered slice, white pudding but No beans.

Tomato is only ever acceptable in ketchup or pizza bases. And even then, BBQ sauce is better.

Grilled tomato goes perfectly with a nice juicy steak. Which I've decided is going to be my lunch when I go down the pub with a couple of mates to watch the play off final.

You don't consider firebombing wrong?.........The death of the soldier was tragic and unnecessary...of course it was. I feel for his Family and friends. To go and fire bomb a mosque as revenge is nonsensical......Personally I would like to see the perpetrator put to death.....an eye for an eye etc etc........but not before he has been tried and legally convicted then sentenced!

    We need a tomato thread.

Personally I love them but have a strange aversion to the skin, something about the texture, don't mind it when it's chopped up or cooked, but the first slice of a sliced tomato is like poison to me.

No off-topic threads, apart from this one. We don't want another off-topic controversy this summer <laugh>

He's saying the firebombing is wrong but the people of that mosque had done no wrong, and if two wrongs don't make a right then one certainly doesn't!

Pasta sauce? My preferred pasta sauce wouldn't be a tomato base, but there's nothing wrong with an arrabiatta or bolognese, surely. Also it's a necessity in things like chili con carne.

What say you to sundried tomatoes on a BBQ chicken pizza?

An "eye for an eye" was exactly what one of the perpetrators of that heinous atrocity quoted as his reason for the act. It doesn't solve anything and would make society no better than the terrorists in my opinion.

The only way forward in my mind is for the Muslim community to start flagging up potential extremists to the authorities, those people within their communities that start to go down that route, have to be stopped before they get to the terrorist traioning camps.

These two that killed the soldier last week were known to the authorities but you can be sure that there radical tendancies would have been known to the members of their community before. The authorities can't track everyone that attends an extremist rally but they could work with community leaders to find those that are likely to go further. That is where something needs to be done, we need to work with the muslim community to stop this extremism and they must be better at working with the authorities.

Randomley attacking mosques and muslims in the street will only drive more to extremism and make the community go within itself.

Okay, yeah, pasta sauce is fine. And nope, messes up the texture. Peppers or onions are fine, not tomatoes.
