They'll deny it again and sweep it under the carpet again.

Your attitude seems very anti-city and pro-egg chaser. Are you on the wrong forum?

If you think there is no trouble at your favourite dying sport then you're living under a rock.

To be fair he is pointing out that Hull FC fans are no better or worse than City fans, both he and I love both our teams and quite rightly defend then from gratuitous slander. Im sure he would be equally defensive of City if a FC moron starts slagging City off for no good reason.

Ive supported both teams home and away for more than 30 years and to be honest ive seen more trouble at City games. In both sports majority of fans are decent, you will always get the odd idiot.

When football can stage an event where there are 60000 people there and the only bother is a fella getting shouted at, with no segregation, police presence and drinking in the stands then there might be a point. Until then I would suggest the moral high ground remains with rugby fans.

    60,000?

I thought this was about the two less than quarter filled stands at the Etihad. Where was the big event?

It was a capacity crowd. Obese eggchasers take up two seats.

Maybe it's because I don't live in Hull but I can't understand the antagonism between City and RL fans. It's a different sport and I would much rather see all of our teams doing well as it only reflects positively on the City.

61052 over the two days. I saw 4 police officers around the ground, and we were even trusted to drink out beer out of glass.

So less than10,000 a game for £10 ticket? And at that I suspect someone leaving and going back would be counted twice. Most football games have more with less trouble.

The lack of Police is more a reason for a lack of arrests than a lack of trouble. There was usually trouble in the pubs for these games. Try and organise something that needs police attendance on Derby day and see what response you get on available officers.

Remind me again, what year were on pitch battles between the 2 sets of fans beamed to media around the world securing page after page of international coverage yet barely registered in the local pro rugby rag. I particularly liked the woman with the white stiletto in her hand about to hit someone.

    It's a family game.

Well said, I don't particularly like ice hockey, but would still like to see the stingrays do well, some of the posters on here are just bitter and twisted, why would you hate any sport? If you don't like it fair enough, but surely it's important that any sport raises the profile of Hull?

Ok, but that was a group of morons who ran at each other on the pitch, about a dozen actually got involved. Is it really any different to Millwall game in 2009, or even the Cardiff game when hundreds of City fans ran on the pitch, despite numerous requests not to, even holding up the game.

The point is no one has the morale high ground here, all those involved in both sports are from Hull, so if there is a problem, it's the City that has it, not the sports.

Most people don't seem to be hating the sport, more commenting on the attitude of some of the followers and misrepresentative reporting that results in the City being held back as issues get denied rather than addressed.

That's exactly it. Football according to HDM humberside always a negative spin on anything.

What other radio station would allow a comment about rugby after a football match. Yet how many times do they allow one. " they should pay a mans game" bollocks.

Look at all the drug issues in rugby and with hull FC, barely a peep out of either. Hull city fans stoning a rugby coach!! Printed and accepted as true.

It's ridiculous to hold up the Cardiff pitch invasion as an example of bad behaviour. That was a peaceful celebration that was spectacularly premature, probably due to the extreme youth of many of the participants. As far as I can remember there was no riot.

You make no mention of the monthly lawbreaking and court cases of local RL professionals.
