You said this in the article that you started yesterday and I pointed out that it was wrong there. Why ask for debate if you're not going to read responses?
The police don't shoot to injure. They aim for centre mass, as it's the best way to put people down and avoid accidentally hitting bystanders.

yes but surely if your trained sniper u can surely hit the suspect -i just cant unerstand why when they had chance only injure the bloke surely if your somebody like that clear view and nobody much near him could take him out surely.Police said to many changes have stopped them doing their job a lot of officers are very angry not being allowed to do shoot to kill in a dangerous situation than inkure thats my point i was asking it need to be debated properly by people and get the mps change the law back give police full control

In what way would eliminating the only sources of information about what happened and why make the country safer?

The police aren't angry about this, anyway. They'd prefer not to be put in a situation like the Charles de Menezes one unless they absolutely have to be.

What happens if someone wants to commit suicide by police? Thats very common in the USA
How will that make the police officer feel and if there is a risk of this happening how will it affect the police officers numbers putting their names forward for such a role

The Old Bill should be allowed to shoot to kill any **** they feel is a threat to public safety.

In fact I think we should have a special police unit with small tactical nuclear devices capable of wiping out small towns like Swindon. :)

I wouldn't trust today's coppers with a water pistol, let alone arm them for real and make them judge, jury & executioner!

Britain are still being dragged through the courts for their shoot to kill policy in Ireland decades after the fact. They will try not to make similar mistakes although they are ****ing daft sometimes.

I will explain this only once because I cannot be arsed explaining simple concepts.

The Police or any armed security personnel NEVER (That's right Never) shoot to wound/incapacitate and It is utter bollocks to suggest otherwise.

They are trained to aim for the largest (and therefore easiest area to hit)target which is the chest. Anytime someone gets shot in the arm or leg or elsewhere it is down to a shot which was aimed at the chest but missed it's target. It's that simple.
