Just read in the people that they are set for showdown 2moro Cant find the link, poyet lined up, full squad on transfer list bar 4, pdc wants improved contract
Only posting what you read. But that is journo ****e at it worst. Complete ****e. Maybe not the transfer bit. Poyet bollocks and I'm sure PDC would have been offered a contract depending on what division we were in. Still, he'll be on at least 10x what he was on at Swindon.
Surely if Ellis had any qualms over PDC he would have got shot when the fascism witch hunt was being carried out in the media.
http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...land-if-contract-talks-stall-really-1-5712464 THE Sunday People is claiming that contract talks with Paolo Di Canio could stall and the Italian could be on his way this summer with Gus Poyet potentially being lined up as a replaced. The story, written by Tom Hopkinson and Dave Kidd, claims that Di Canio and Ellis Short are set for talks which will include discussions on his salary. The suggestion is that the two are apart on what his pay should be and Di Canio could walk if he does not get the deal he wants. This would seem highly unlikely, though, to regular Sunderland watchers who have seen first-hand Di Canioâs profound gratitude to Short for giving him his Premier League chance and then standing by him during his first few torrid weeks in the job. There is also the fact that Di Canio has spoken of the bond he feels for Sunderland Football Club and its fans and his passionate desire to create something special at the Stadium of Light and do a fantastic job for the club. ... Last 2 sentences pretty much sum this up as journo ****e, bored that there is nothing to report on and PDC is an easy target. PDC has his sights set on something, and like a terrier wont be letting go until its time.
Could only find it on the BBC gossip page. It's not anywhere on the People website. It's bollocks I reckon if they won't put the story on the net for scrutiny
Why on earth south PDC be in contract taks now? He signed a contract with us in march didn't he? National media looking to cause trouble again?
Nothing anywhere apart from that echo link. it's bollocks. it would be a main story on sky and bbc if a Premiership manager was entering showdown talks after only a couple of months in charge.
Tried to find the original story but its nowhere! All I can find is stories about the original story!! Crazy bullshit IMO
I wouldnt shed too many tears. I still dont think PDC is what we need or has the managerial ability to actually manage players at this level. I know I will be swimming against the tide here but thats my gut instinct. I prefer Laudrup or if it were possible, Benitez. Poyet would be an outside choice. However, I too think it will not be happening. PDC will be our manager next season for sure.
Yeah, it's a two and a half year deal See attached link. National papers spouting bollox again http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21990117
