Tobias Grüner F1 ‏@tgruener #F1 Christian Horner: "Looks like tyre test helped Mercedes" Toto Wolffs reaction: "The words "bad loser" come to my mind." ooo errr
Horner is brave, never take on a guy who talks like Arnold Schwarzeneggar, or you'll find youself being dangled over a ledge upside down.
Two categories of people who think Schumacker's return was a disaster. 1) Those who were embittered against his previous winning reigns and general character. 2) Those who liked him, but were disappointed he didn't return to winning ways. He had a lot of very bad luck in some pretty much prototype cars (under proto-type racing conditions... remember the cruelty of being denied a podium simply by the poor positioning of DRS?), outperforming Nico at enough of the race-days to suggest he still had the talent, overtaking him at monaco etc. His Quali performances were a disappointment of course, but F1 had evolved a long way since he retired, especially one-lap tyre management, so that was always going to be tough for him. It wasn't a disaster at all, it was if anything a transparent window into the transition of the sport and the upsurge in Rosberg's star
Natalie Pinkham is a **** interviewer. No probing questions asking every driver what's it like when there's a safety car? NO ONE CARES!
Only illustrates that Perez was lucky to keep his car in one piece as long as he did. Kimi has every right to take the corner when he's that far in front. Perez should have backed out. Dont forgot he also completely missed the chicane once before to force Kimi over it as well He played the "comply or crash" game with the other drivers once to often and got his karma. He seemed to just expect everyone to dive out of his way and his last two moves especially just never had any chance of succeeding.
I doubt he expected anyone to dive out of his way and I applaud his daring spirit; there's precious little of it in today's F1. Ditto Lewis's lesser risking of his tyres with Webber.
"It definitely helped them — you can see that they had no tyre problems today" - Helmet Marko, always the unbiased observer
Fernando Alonso ‏@alo_oficial Now avoiding accidents can be a bad thing..)! GP without pace. In Canada, we will come back to our best level! Very important points today
Watching the BBC's highlights, the sound seems to be about 30 seconds out. Is it them or has my TV just ****ed up?
The result of the Monaco Grand Prix has been made official, so whatever the upshot of the protest at Mercedes it won't affect todays result
