Highly enjoyed the board over the course of the year, its been my first full season on the board, and though I don't contribute much, its very rare that I'll not read a thread from cover to cover (except the Bill Nich one, go away for a few hours and your 7/800 pages in ). After my health troubles at the start of the year, it was warming to have a few messages off some posters wishing me well, and I'd like to thank those who did. My personal shout outs have to be: HIAG - Quality man, just quality, absolutely love the Mouser thread and your reports of excursions into Mouser territory is often hilarious. THFC6061 - Match day threads never disappoint, and some of the information you dig out is genuinely fantastic. Yid Vicious - Probably the reason I don't contribute much, seems whatever I'm about to say, he gets in well before me Some conspiracy ****... And the rest of the mods. And most importantly, the entire board, for making it the best team forum on the interweb, and long may it last!!!
Well there you go! That site's been sat in my bookmarks for quite some time now and has had a fair bit of use. Even more kudos to THFC6061!
From my brief experiences of "interacting" with some of the people on other boards, I can safely say that ours has a far higher percentage of intelligent, perceptive posters than most others, whose boards seem to be populated mainly by infantile half-wits. I can't really pick out many individual posters as I enjoy most of what is said, whether I agree with it, or not. However, special mentions to HIAG & Peskie - surely the best comedy double act on this forum. And Notso - where does he find his seemingly endless supply of "appropriate" photos, etc?
I think my favourite poster, who rarely posts, is RRich. He doesn't post often enough, but when he doesn't post magic happens. The best post that he never responded to was my "Daddies of Europe" teaser. His non-comments were the wittiest and funniest ever posted on this board. His non-comments on many other threads, over the last few seasons, have had me in stitches, literally, sometimes - his last ream of non-comments had me laughing so hard that my cock simply fell off and I had to have it stitched back on at the cock-clinic. Thank you, RRich! You can ogle my cleavage any time you like.
No mention for me Jokes aside, I haven't been able to post as much as I used to, I still lurk and try to keep up to date when possible and always entertained by what I read and thats down to most of the names already mentioned. Keep up the good work lads !!!
I really enjoy my time on here...I cant get to too many games so this is a great way to hear what other spurs fans think. I also love how funny it is. My favs are 1 maggie 2 thfc061 3 yv 4 spurf But there are so many that are enjoyable to read....makes for a good way to clear my head after or during a tough day... Cheers to all of you
This board has gone downhill since Ensil left. The spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation leaves a lot to be desired.
Special mentions for THFC6061 (enough said,) the mods, who are all excellent posters as well as doing a great job on the board and yes, you too HIAG. You are a complete WUM but you are one funny bastard too. Really though, all the posters make our board a good place to spend time. Informed, funny, insightful, passionate; Everything the Gooners board isn't. No wonder Piskie spends so much time over here.
Peskie has resorted to lifting comments I made re other boards & posting them on his so called Rivals thread. I only discovered this after I received a P.M. apologising for a rude comment by one of their posters. I have tried to point out to Peskie that I don't appreciate what he did, and that he should try setting an example as a moderator, not indulge in rabble rousing amongst the boneheads on his own board. I doubt that many of you will be surprised to learn that my comments were greeted with a torrent of infantile abuse. This all goes to prove that you don't have to be a moron to support The Goons, but it most certainly helps.
Thanks, mate. Glad you appreciate the humour, and recognise it as such. Too many (who shall remain unnamed for fear of my accidentally starting another flame-war) actually take what I say at face-value, being either too stupid to recognise real wit without it being pointed out to them with a smilie, or are completely and utterly without humour. Either way, I'd can bear them if it means I can share banter with like-minded Spurs fans.
