24 May 2013 13:55:38 Albert Adomah and Sam Baldock of Bristol City to join Burnley for combined total of 1. 5M -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 24 May 2013 13:54:50 Bristol City's Sean O'Driscoll is said to be in conversation with Sheffield United regarding 24 year old midfielder Kevin McDonald. McDonald who has just over a year remaining on his current deal will demand around a cut-price £280,000. O'Driscoll is also thought to be close to signing a Goalkeeper for the club with only youngster Dylan Castanheira on the books. The signing is expected to be Fulham's Finnish international Jess Joronen, although it isn't yet known if it is a permanent or loan deal.
24 May 2013 16:13:44 Bristol City finally get Aden Flint after Swindon accept £300k and Bristol cb James Wilson I never believe these play plus cash stories
24 May 2013 18:48:44 Yeovil Town showing interest in Bristol City Midfielder Brian Howard (Out of contract) and Swindon Town Defender Nathan Byrne on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. Gary has also been spotted on a very friendly golfing daytrip with AFC Bournemouth duo Shaun Macdonald and Wes Fogden.
All this phaff about Albert going here and there for various amounts in the region of 1 million makes me wonder who puts this evaluation on him? He runs around most of the time like a fart in a thunderstorm and finally disappears up his own backside, and just in case you haven't noticed I have never rated him especially since he wants a winter vacation down south every year. Anyway back to the business of whether we should keep him or not, I am not so sure he will put in a full shift if he doesn't get a move, although in fairness to him I haven't seen many of you saying that he's screaming from the rooftops to leave us. I really am a bit iffy on him and perhaps we should continue the rebuild without him because if he does have good season then he will almost certainly want a move somewhere so it leaves us in a bit of a quandary as to whether we stick or twist.
25 May 2013 10:18:21 Bristol city to announce the signing of Aden Flint from Swindon Town on Monday for around £350,000. I have also been informed by people in the club that they are looking to sign Simon Gillett from Nottingham Forest, Simon church who has just been released by Reading and Lee camp could be a surprise addition as our new goalkeeper having worked with O'Driscol at Notts Forest I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to sign all the players mentioned Church especially would be a great signing if the club thinks Davies and/or Baldock want to leave. Should we sign these players plus Jay Emmanuel Thomas, Zak Ansah I think you could say we would have a fair old squad for L1
Mike - if we can get £1m+ for him we should sell - that can finance 2 or 3 other players in key positions (centre half etc) Here are some more rumours: 25 May 2013 18:01:10 Bristol City are not happy with just one new centre back and are looking at Forest Green's Jamie Turley and Crawley Town's Kyle McFadzean 25 May 2013 14:51:36 jay Emmanuel Thomas, zak ansah and Aden Flint all to be unveiled on Monday as signings for Bristol city 25 May 2013 14:42:22 Crystal Palace remain favourites to sign Albert Admoah from Bristol City irrespective of the play-off final result. It is likely that they will need to pay more than the £1m that they plan to offer as there are as many as 5 other clubs monitoring the situation.
Still no rumour on that powerhouse dynamic tough tackling midfielder we have aptly named Killa. Surely some numpty will want to buy him please.
Oh dear ****ing god "Kilkenny pens 3 year deal" Sean O'Driscoll Has tied Creative midfielder Neil Kilkenny to an extended 3 year deal, On top of his current 1 year. It will see the Australian at the club until the summer of 2017. O'Driscoll had this to say. " Neil is of exceptional talent and due to the circumstance of last season he couldn't play they way he wanted to, He had to play more deep and play basic balls rather than defence splitting passes. He adds a lot of experience to our midfield and that is something we will need in league 1, I plan to play him every game as his experience will benefit our strikers and will help get us back to the championship. He will be the captain for the 2013/14 season" Upon signing his contract Kilkenny had this to say "I was delighted to be offered a contract, A few premiership teams and Championship teams have offered me contracts but I made such a contribution here and I have a great connection with the fans that I couldn't see myself being anywhere else. I want to buckle down in pre season and get ready for the new season, We have a great bunch of lads and the gaffer knows what he's doing, Hence why he's offered me a 3 year contract. Im delighted to be made captain of Bristol city. Ill be able to play my natural game so the fans should expect 20 assists from me and around 15 goals next season" http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bris...fielder-Neil/story-12832411-detail/story.html
