Is this being unpatriotic or just telling the truth?

Rooney couldn't compete on this stage.

He's have bagged one of the many chances missed tonight though.

ManUre would have certainly lived with either of them, whether they'd win or not is another matter, but lived with them? Of course they would have.

Didn't Chelski live with Bayern last year?
Bayern haven't changed their team that much in a year

Exactly! I'd go further, if Man U were in this final against either of these teams they'd be 1-0 up now.

I really don't know how you can say that.

Rooney is a fat type piggy who doesn't have the technical ability of any of the players on show tonight.

Come on man, man up and be serious.

Think Dormund are a stronger attacking team out the two. Think they have some world class talent leading the line. Their weakness is in the fullback area.

Man U could have held their own against either of these teams without Rooney.

You have, my old darling, been confusing champions league football with the championship.

    Poor babe, so ignorant.

Man Ure, with or without porky Rooney, got nowhere near the final.

Ferguson quit because he knew he couldn't compete on the European stage.

How many European trophies did Fergie win? <doh>

If you are trying to wum, at least bugger off to another board and do it

He usually wums on our board...still, I guess even dear old Treacle has to have the odd "away day".

Ferguson realised he was never going to win CL again with vain Rooney and Bart reputatio so go out with his reputation intact.

The premiership didn't interest him anymore

Feel free to believe what you want and run away from the truth though.

The real conspiracy theory is that Fergie decided to quit when he realized that Mourinho was going back to Chelsea, and that he didn't have it in him to stand up to the competition...typical Fergie, never up for a fight...<laugh>

    You carry on, Treacle...
