Anyone who regularly watched La Liga wouldn't consider it a punt at all, that was my point. Taking a player from a lower league, or a **** league is a punt, taking one who's already performed in one of Europe's top leagues really isn't that much of a punt.
I could argue anyone that watches the French leagues wouldn't consider it a punt. Surely deciding whether it is a punt or not, is in correspondence with the country he is moving to? I didn't know who Michu was, I watch the Spanish league and play FM and FIFA, I bet many other people didn't either.
Professional scouts & manager picked up Michu, and have been proved right. Lets see if your mate gets picked up and makes a success of the Premier League, for us or anyone else. My guess is not. Now you can argue, if not, that he would have been great. My own view is that he's not good enough. I wouldn't want City to take a punt just to prove a point. Let us wait and see what the scouting system in this country makes of him, they will all be aware of him, be interesting to see if they share your opinion or mine. Twt.
So you are on here, not because you rate the player, not because you are interested in who Hull City do or do not sign, but because you want to make a pedantic point about what is, or isn't, a "punt". Conversations round your kitchen table must be riveting.
Yet you totally ignore my argument and form your own conclusion. Debating with you seems pointless. Create your own conclusion then let everyone know okay (y).

Sorry, ignore your argument? What argument? I thought you were just saying that a player from La Liga is a Punt. Have I missed the point?
Ignorance is bliss isn't it? I've realised you're talking bollocks and give up trying to communicate with an idiot.
