Tom Carroll? as we all know the lad can play, and he's 21 in a couple of days (according to wikipedia) so he should be ready soon, maybe it's time for him to take a little more responsibility in midfield?
Not sure he's ready to start there on a regular basis, as he still doesn't do it for 90 minutes in the reserves, but he should be moved up the pecking order. I'd like to see him, Smith, Caulker, Townsend (assuming he's available) and possibly Livermore starting in our cup games, especially the League Cup and Europa League.
