I'm hoping that we can continue the 2nd half of the seasons form. I'm in the minority but I rate Allen and Borini so I'm very happy with his signings so far.

I'm with Luv on this, I still think Allen and Borini will be good players for us, hopefully with a full pre-season behind them and full fitness they'll show what they're about next season. Genuinly excited for next season, haven't had that feeling in years.

Allen and Borini have been unlucky with injuries and I think will definately have much better season's next season.

Next year's the one lad, next year <laugh>

Allen is water carrier type player imo, I don't see how he fits into your side when Lucas plays tbh & Borini has showed nothing in the games he has played, to suggest that he's going to do anything of note in the EPL.

Eh let's not start that <laugh>

I see your point for Allen but since Borini returned from injury he's looked pretty sharp and has influenced the game every time he has came on, think BR missed a trick by not starting him in the last couple of games personally.

Just hope we get some moves done before the confederations cup and give new players time to come in and get to know the team. We need a strong start for once.

Wrong thinking = FSG gvie us nothing

Right thinking. FSG gave us 40mil interest free loans to prop us up. They allowed huge spend under comolli , gave rodgers 40mil SO FAR NET. 35mil NET last season unde rkenny and obviously whe nthey took over there was torres money muddying the waters. Think baout that. they answered the critics subject to not breaking the club again.

Rodgers has spent 40mil net.... think on it. Allen, borini v coutinho, sturridge... All in all I think FSG will give us money to strengthen this summer too. I think we will have that 20mil next spend and will sell several also but overall i think we will see the investment.

A bit of <applause> for FSG is about due. People hammer them over stadiums and this or that but they are working away and not killing the club, just cos they are not oil rich should not have lads putting them in the gold and sullivan camp LET A BLOODY LONE the G&H camp.

You even watched us play? Borini finished the season well considering he'd been injured for most of it. Came back really sharp, added a goal to his tally, almost got another and changed the game flow.

Allen's ****e, agree with that. Don't see how he fits in to the team when his supposed 'advanced position' which BR claims he's better suited to is being held by Coutinho. Clearly one of those two is much superior to the other...and it's not the Welsh one. He sucks at defending too. He's a pub team Xavi. Sits in the middle and passes it nowhere. Grabs a pie at half time. Walks around the centre circle and passes aimlessly again for another 45m. He'll be fat by the time he leaves the club. Awful signing.

I think that's a tad harsh on the lad, he looked a player in his first half dozen games - assuming it was the injury he was carrying that shot his confidence then I have hopes he can come back and do a job for us. He is very young still too

A tad harsh, perhaps. But he's still painfully average <ok>
Lets not blame it on the injury. As soon as he comes into a run of form so poor that even Rodgers has to drop him, we hear reports that he's carrying an injury and has been for several months? Right....

I'd rather we offloaded him this summer and signed someone who can do something other than ball shuffle. That's something any centre mid should be able to do, whether they play in a defensive role or a forward role - both of which he can't do, btw.

Allen is a decent basic player but he is very tactically naive. i think if you took a look at his game you would think that he needs to laern to play jsut like lucas did, ie stepping in and covering space as "water carrier" there is nothing wrong with having a water carrier once the player you cover is effective, say enrique, johnson, agger... if you give them confidence to take a risk going forward cos they know they don't need to run 60 yards on a psrint cos nobody covers...

alonso and maschernao were pass masters at this unrewarding basic team play. Frankly if you watch what lucas does when agger goes off striding forward you'll see what i mean.
