This was a very well thought out and well reasoned reply.

The trouble with the counter-arguments is that they make no ****ing sense at all and I'm inclined not to engage directly as -to put it succinctly and to borrow an old adage;-

    - - - 'You cannot reason someone out of something he has not reasoned himself into in the first place.'

I'm pleased there are people here -the majority, to counter the noise of the Daily Mail/Journal readers popularist moronic hordes. I wish you both a life that isn't clouded and consumed by hate <ok>

I live in an area with loads of expats.

Plenty of them have live in France for at least 10 years, and most of them still don't speak the local language, then complain when they get ripped of cos they cant understand "the foreigners" (i.e. the locals) who give them quotes for building work. They shop at M&S, order anything else they want from the britishcornershop.co.uk, complain about anything not british in origin or culture, demand local shops speak english and basically makes tits of themselves where ever they go.

Its the same in Spain and I am sure any other country where they decide to live.

High horse, get the **** down.

Agree with a lot of what you said there apart from the highlighted bit. I hate this country at the moment, you've listed a lot of the reasons that are valid, some close to the bone. Don't think this countrys problem are entirly down to imagration though weather or not a person is racist or not, they have to admit the problems. Add the following

1 Immigrants (legal or illegal) clumping in their own society within our society, alienating themselves and adding to tension.
2 Replacing road signs in residential areas with ones containing multiple translations.
3 Lazy parents relying on tv, internet and sub-standard schooling to bring their children up.
4 Drug laws that encourage dealers to sell on our streets funding sex crime and slavery.
5 The lack of respect and constant anti-social behaviour from our youth.
6 The lack of censorship in film, tv, music videos and magazines, ie sex on tv and things like newspapers being sold on bottom shelves with front page content of a terrorist with blood on his hands, on display for a children of all ages to see.
    7 The government's dis-interest in stimulating growth.
8 The lack of investment in health, particularly mental health.
9 That 'free press' that is slowly moulding our society into chaos in the name of making money from us
10 Not enough schools, prisons, hospitals and armed forces being dismantled publicly for the world to see.

I could go on and on and on and on.

Hate this country me. The only good thing going for it is the countryside. Must beautiful in the world, especially up north.

If I lived in a place where our metros were blown up, buses blown up, a man beheaded. There's no possible way I could feel safe.

Mirror this exactly though mate, I've never been told by anyone that they feel unsafe in London bar those who don't live in London and have only ever daytripped.

RAF Typhoon has apparently just escorted a plane bound for Manchester from Pakistan down in Heathrow for security reasons, can't contact the pilot or something.

Busy day for London's airports today, glad I don't live there today.

Terry the plane was from Heathrow to Oslo and they was black smoke bellowing out of it. They brought it back and landed it.

Nah mate, this is totally different story nothing to do with that one. I was mistaken though, the Typhoon forced it down to Stanstead not Heathrow.

Whoever was flying the Pakistan Airways plane can't be contacted...I'm not surprised though, if I looked out of my cockpit and seen a Eurofighter I'd absolutely **** myself and go hide in the bog.
