Its quite obvious from using this forum more and more that there are plenty of twitter users amongst us. I thought it might be useful to start a thread where people could add in the twitter details if they wanted to be followed (or follow) by NCFC fans. My twitter username is @marknemo (surprisingly). I must admit I might not be the best person to follow as I probably tweet a lot of things people arent interested in and do have 'banter' between other friends on there. I do follow other NCFC fans who I have stumbled across who seem to share opinions similar to mine and like to have discussions about our club. Anyway, if you would like to post your twitter post them below and I look forward to following you.
@ClaydonAdam - I tweet a lot. Like, I have 19000 tweets. Also Mark I don't know whether you're aware but if you are tweeting your friends with their @ at the start, noone else sees it on their timeline unless they follow both you and your friends; so I wouldn't worry about the banter!
Only just started to use twitter and I do find it rather addictive. Search for 'Ricky van Smith', that's me I'm now following you mark
Thurnby - no offence taken I know many people hate it. I initially used it because my friends did but I actually find out news and Norwich related information quicker on there than anywhere else. I'll make sure I am following you both - I tweet more than I post on this forum although I have been trying to post more recently on here.
@cromercanary (surprise!) is now following @marknemo and @ClaydonAdam I follow people for different reasons, local news and weather, travel and transport updates, football and cricket gossip/banter/transfer news and rumour, plus wildlife especially birding people. I think it's great because even if your interests are as diverse as Mayan architecture or basket weaving, you'll always find some like minded souls to talk to. Whereas facebook seems predominantly people you already know/knew in the flesh, family, friends, old schoolfriends, etc. I know Canary Dave and Beefy are on twitter, but I'll let them tout for 'business' if they want to
I've recently had a mad influx of followers, I tweeted you yesterday cromer and you ignored me Anyone on here not following me feel free to do so and I will follow you back! @DaveDave48
That was because you were giving me credit for the 'fancy a game, lads' cartoon - and I nicked it from twitter so was too to reply
It's been highlighted recently by Stan Collymore, I think, that people can 'buy' followers on twitter. How sad is that? If somebody I followed went from, say, 350 followers one day to 3,500 the next, I would smell a rat and kick them into touch - twitterphorically speaking, anyway. Where there's muck there's brass, as the old saying goes.
I am not sure of the benefit of buying followers. I see as follow people you are interested in and if they annoy you then dont follow them. This applies to anyone on this forum now following me...... I probably am quite annoying so I wont take it personally if any of you decide to unfollow me at any point.
Companies buy twitter accounts off people, the more followers you have the more money ur accounts worth. Saying that if you buy followers u are extremely sad! bit like these people that buy lifes on that stupid candy crush game
But surely if you have bought followers then you wouldnt necessarily be making money when you sold your account? Also, why dont the company just buy follows in the first place?
They do. A large proportion of the people who buy followers are those who need to be seen as more reputable - unknown artists, journalists, etc. Normal people who do so do it for the followers, which gives them a kind of social status (especially in school)
