Huge change in the betting. Last night it was Rafa or Di Matteo, this morning Hughes now 6/5, and Poyet has shortened to about 6/1. Really do not want Hughes. Never rated him as a manager.
To be honest you look around and think who is there who can rebuild nearly a whole squad. There are in my view only half a dozen players or so worth keeping so a massive job and we will lose Begovic for starters. I would not be surprised to see the odd decent player decide to move on now Tony has gone. Some have remained when there was the potential for them to go, due to their relationship with Pullis e.g Shawcross.
I was no fan of Pullis's style in general but I really do fear for next season. Wholesale changes are hard to integrate and we could be in for a tough season next year. We must evolve but revolution aka QPR style could result in the same outcome. The new manager needs to be experienced in the Premier League with a fresh not staid outlook and I'm not sure there are too many of those out there.

If Hughes comes my avatar and sig.stay.

Hughes had a huge budget.at Man City and QPR.
    A small budget at Blackburn...Hmm.

Lest we forget Blackburn punched above their weight under Hughes.

    But no thanks

During his spell in charge of Blackburn, Hughes' side was accused of being "over-physical" and "dirty" on multiple occasions and the club finished bottom of the Premier League disciplinary table in all four of Hughes' seasons in charge

I hate to say this but I know someone who works at Stoke and they said that Hughes has been at the brit all day, I would have Di Matteo, Martinez, Poyet, Zola, Rafa etc anyone but Hughes, we might as well have kept Pulis if we have Hughes as manager.

    If he does hire him.
WHAT IS COATES DOING? He is a smart bloke. If he does hire him it must be down to money.
Coates you are making a big mistake if you sign Hughes!!!!

I have been badly mistaken for the past 7 years.

I have always loved Tony bach.

I have been seriously misguided by certain posters on this board and because they have more posts and more rep points than me, I have tended to follow their advice.

Why oh why did I listen to those voices.

I have betrayed the best manager this football club have ever had or ever will have.

That comment shows exactly how much you know about OUR club. Nothing!!
Etherington is thankful because our Chairman "Paid OF HIS gambling DEBTS" FACT! and 2nd he's not played well all season, can't stay fit and I doubt he will get too much game time now a new Manager is coming in.

IRONIC that a Norwich fan who was bricking it re relegation only a week or so back ( I read your board) is not shouting the odds for next season. <doh>

If he comes he will want a pot of money- basically a FM manager sitting in his office thinking of new players to buy. If he joins it will be as a 'stepping stone' toward the career he imagines will take him to United or Barcelona or anyone who will give him money to spend.

Hughes will not be Stoke's next manager. Peter Coates and his consortium are way more switched on than that. he is only favourite because punters have made him their favourite. It's Rafa or Di Matteo, watch this space!

    QPR fan here in peace.

Just a suggestion, but i think you need to get as many fans together and seriously put your owner off hiring Mark Hughes.
the man is a ****e manager. never achieved anything of note at any club he's managed.

You guys have done well to stay and consolidate in the prem...take our advice...Sparky is NOT the man you want. if you do get him, we will be playing you in the NPC i a years time.

    good luck ! <ok>

Talk about frying pan to fire. After what he did to the R's I would be surprised to see Hughes in the running for a League 2 club.
