I'd like to thank everyone for their contributions to the board over the course of the last season, but some of you are ****s, so I won't! In all seriousness though, it's nice to be able to spend very, very little time actually moderating the board and most of it as just another contributor. The varied opinions and most people's ability to just agree to disagree is what makes this place, in my opinion. On that note I'm going to give a mention to someone who I rarely agree with, yet am always pleased to see posts from - Notso. It's also been interesting to see RWAEB's fairly unique perspective of Spurs, THFC6061's incredibly well researched contributions and Audrey's poetic predictions. I won't add any more names to the list, as I'll be here all day and miss someone out anyway. Cheers everyone and keep up the good work.
As an outsider I actually think this is the best Premier league team forum on not 606 - always decent postings and usually someone has me laughing. Lots of decent posters - PNP, HBIC, Tots fan, spain, Roo, YV, Spurm etc etc but the best one has got to be HIAG. Sometimes i'm nearly crying at his posts. Cheers lads and enjoy your summers .
A big to all that posted through the season. THFC6061 for his excellent and informative matchday threads. The mods for their sterling work, allowing the board to flow with little to no disruption. Too many people to mention, but my top poster for the season would be NotSo for helping bring smiles (among many others)to the board. Special infrequent poster of the season: Lady Maggie Blanchflower, loved the few times you've popped on with anecdotes from the glory days.
I think your all great. I'm not a regular poster (unless its a 'Ye Olde Tyme' thread) but love perusing your posts regularly. Special thanks to those who share links so swiftly when the cry for help goes out & to PNP for producing clips of magic moments within minutes of the match ending. Brilliant. Through this forum I feel part of the Spurs 'family' again, although I have not seen a live match for 25 years. Thank you one & all...
In all seriousness though, special thank yous need to go to THFC6061 for his superb and relentless match threads which are the envy of the not606 community, and also Spurf for his tireless dedication to the Prediction League which brings an extra element to watching every match (despite my inevitable hiatus of it for half the season ) Thank you all for a great 9 months, I imagine it will quieten down a bit here for a few weeks but I have every confidence we will come back even stronger come next season and put the Goons, Chavs and Mousers to shame again with our incomparable wit and humility.
Thanks for another great season all of you, especially the mods. What makes this board the best on not606 is that we have a good mix of posters in age, perspective and opinion, and although people do clash over some things (and rightly so, agreeing is pretty boring!) we manage to avoid some of the outright infighting that seems to go on on the other boards at the end of the day. So cheers again lads, long may it continue
For me there are three stand-out posters on here. THFC6061 never seems to pop up except for the excellent intros to the matchday threads. I'd like to repeat what others have said - damn good job. And I hope you're collating all this information in a blog or book or something. Maybe you GET it from someone else's blog or book. Either way it's a massive addition to the site. Even when I don't read it all I'm thankful someone's put it up there. And (hate to brown-nose to the mods) I can almost always tell a PNP post without even reading the name. It's always just so damn reasonable. Or perhaps I think that just cos I happen to agree with him almost every time. And of course it's always great to have Spurcat's interjections. A fine resource in my Spurs life. As is this whole place, really. I'd give a special mention to the poster but can't remember who it was - the person who was recently describing their hatred of Chelsea and hoping their plane crashed. They were in such a foul mood due to the fact that they had a stomach bug and there was **** everywhere. That made me laugh hard. Being ill and having **** everywhere is a perfectly good reason to wish death on the whole Chelsea squad. Chelsea in particular, obviously.
