Are bench is too small? We still have De bruye/Lukaku/Courtois to come back. Not true? We made a profit last year and that's not including all of our recent sponsorship deals. Also, going by that logic, how does Tottenham/Arsenal make a profit? There wage bill is 58/63% of there turnover, Chelsea is 66%. Edit: Liverpool's wages is 70%! Higher than Chelsea's!
YES your bench is tiny .. since 2-3 season hhh pls bring those players that you loaned out and increase your wage bills .. pls do what do you mean not true? that is based on your last season account with 1m profit (thanks to selling and offloading many players & winning CL).. and all deals you bring not even is close to the 30m hit by going out of CL ... and remember you didn't sold anyone this season or took them off your wage bill .. you will be lucky if you didn't post 20-30m loss adding more players that you loaned out will make your life even harder .. buying more is even more suicidal .. i wish from the bottom of my heart that you buy more this season, bcz it will be the last push to make fall from the cliff
That's why Liverpool don't make profits either! And neither did Spurs Arsenal make no losses cos their players sales are equal to purchases, so they have no net transfer costs. In general, you can make a profit as long as wages plus transfer costs are less than 80% of turnover. Which is pretty much where Chelsea were with CL money taken into account last year.
Why did you completely dodge my points about Arsenal/Tottenham/Liverpool? 30m hit? More like 15mil. We made £44mil this Champions league/Europa campaign, whereas united only made 39m . Meireles, Drogba, Sturridge, Boswinga,
Tbh shwan, i'm mre likely to listen to Swissramble than you. He's positive that Chelsea won't be affected by FFP.
i had to leave work and pick up my kid , so was not dodging it first of all look to the swiss site you referred to please log in to view this image you are 15-20m minus compared to last season now among those 4 players above you sold Sturridge for 12m, Meireles fees is equal to fee remaining of his transfer deal as you still owe his club 8m, the rest are free, so you only had 12m from selling players, compared to 15m the season earlier when you made 1m profit so you are around 20m in minus compared to last season account now regarding spurs and Liverpool they are both desperate and want CL at any price , so we can't measure how a club should be run based on both clubs , more as both clubs have showed a negative balance by the end of the year, so sure they are not the great model to compare with regarding your turnover rate compared to Arsenal, well it should had been worst , but you were saved by that extra 20m thanks to your CL run and the clearout of some players from your squad.. this boosted your annual return from 225m to 255m .. not far from the 20m figure i give you .. so you real wage/turnover rate is not 66% but 73% not sure why we are arguing tbh ? when a club like Arsenal who has same range of turnover post only 35m pretax profit, and you already have yearly payment of 60m more (in spending on money you owe on players you bought on previous seasons ) + 25m in wages difference, that is a staggering 85m more than Arsenal .. take out 35m of arsenal to break even, you are 50m spending more than you can afford really
Basically you're saying we are -15mil for not winning the champions league? You fail to add all of the new sponsorship deals, which would boost are revenues up. We are sponsored by Gazprom after all
Gazprom deal is doggy one bzc Abra is connected to it as he was ex owner, so it will be examined by independent panel of UEFA.. anyway regardless of that, Abra can't pump money into the club anymore .. that is main concept of FFP.. trying to fake that by using fake deals will make UEFA alerted if you get more than UTD are getting for example in term of sponsorship so let us go back to the bigger picture, you and arsenal leave to live by your own means, your turnovers are similar , but difference in spending is huge .. and that can't be filled with any sponsor deal, bcz the difference is too big 85m.. you need to live by your own means, and given how close your turnover are to Arsenal one, to break even you need to spend slightly better than them, (assuming that Abra don't want 35-40m profit Arsenal are getting) , problem is that you are staring the season with 85m more money spends already than Arsenal (60m on ex players +25m difference in wages) ...that is without adding any new player ..no way chelsea can match FFP rules in the future by keeping same level of expenditure , even with more new TV money, that factor will be neutralized by the increase of player transfer deals and wage demands ..so to keep same level of spending, your only hope is FFP won't work and UEFA lose the battle
Yep, Since the current deals, are wage has gone down. Why does Real Madrid pay similar wages to united/city/Chelsea/Bayern? Surely as there turnover is 450m+ they should be paying much higher wages...
1- don't get from where you bring your info ...Barca and Real wages per player is top2 in world followed by City and chelsea then Lakers * 2- tax for footballers is spain is far less than in UK .. so a wages in spain of 100k is almost 150k in UK money bcz of the tax (56% differnce).. sure you know that !! 3- yes your wage bills dropped, bcz you have too to meet FFP, and that mean you can't afford to add to it .. 4- i repeat again, Chelsea is behind Arsenal financially bcz Arsenal have more solid infrastructure to generate money comfortably, you need to spend slightly higher than Arsenal who had 35m profit to break even, meaning , you can't spend more that 35m on wages or transfers * http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/b...ports-wages-bill/story-e6frf9if-1226345893905
Spain's tax rate is 54% I think, so you're wrong again. In 2012 Real Madrid made £444m, their wages were 200mil. So let me ask you again, why doesn't RM pay much higher wages seeing as they have such a high revenue?
as far as i know, it was 24% till last season and heard they will change it to 54% soon!! so you are basically talking about old wages system on contracts signed under the old tax system.. now every players is demanding more while in contract negotiation .. and is one of main reasons why a big club like REAL are not able to match the difference in new tax law for CR to compensate what he will lose bcz for the new tax laws.. and Real thinking is better to let him leave than affording his new contract.. and like REAL are doing so, that is a big sign of things going to change and clubs forced to survive by their own means .. and that is including Chelsea and city .. we are entering the new ERA of footballer that filter fake clubs who were artificially pumped like REAL who used to see its debt wiped out everytime by GOV, that will not work under FFP anymore, and that is why they are struggling to give CR a contract
Since 2012 the Spanish tax rate for high earners is 52%. Look it up. The premier league has the upper hand when it comes to tax.
Not for Ronaldo, Kaka, Benzema, Alonso etc. As they signed before 2010 they are covered under the Beckham Law and only pay 24% tax on their wages. Their tax rate won't change to 52% until 2014, which is why Real are so unwilling to give Ronaldo a new contract as they would almost have to double his wages to get him to sign. Real and Barca's wage bills will soon shoot up pretty quickly as all their overseas stars come off the Beckham Law rate. Besides which, Real don't pay massive wages as the market for footballers is essentially an auction. And in an auction you only need to exceed the offer of the second highest bidder. Real and Barca can attract players simply by paying slightly more than City, they don't need to pay them massively more. Which is why Real and Barca pay more than City and Chelsea, but not all that much more.
man that was news in 2012, to apply is not in immediate effect but in 2014 !! beside what part of the player wages is signed under old system you don't get? to see the effect of new tax will take 2-4 seasons when each player is due a contract renew this is why all wages for Barca and Real is lower that it should be and will increase bcz of the new tax !!!
You seriously expect Real Madrid/Barcelona to pay their players 400k p/w before tax? Khedira gets paid 50k p/w and he has to pay the full Spanish tax as he joined after 2010. Ozil gets paid 90k p/w... Varane 25k.. Di maria 90k..
for GOD sake !!! why you don't focus and always lose the bigger picture !?!! for above players, they pay new tax bcz is after 2010 !! but we are not talking about who pay the tax now .. we are discussing why Real wage bill are low .. why? bcz those players when signed the tax was at 24% .. so all Real squad contract was made accordingly, now with new tax law coming to force, they are demanding more, so wages will go up when new contract talk is due.. what part of this argument you are not getting ?
