I hope you do, as Valdes has stolen a living for years, as the keeper playing in footballs equivalent of the Harlem globe trotters. It's only of late, as Barca have started to look fallible & teams have learnt how to play against them, that Valdes is now having more to do & people are slowly realising that he's actually pretty ****e.
I'm sure from a decade of training with the best forwards on the planet has proven something to Barca's coaching staff so if he was s***e he'd have been flogged a while ago.
I kind of agree with BB - I don't rate Valdes that much but that's because he hardly has anything to do. In addition, Barca don't really care about the GK and defence that much. If they did, they would sign proper CB's instead of shifting Mascherano and Song there.

valdes is ****e. i've seen him flog too many to think he's anything other than that. pepe is a wonderful ball player but he's also a great shot stopper. for me either pepes worked hard to improve for us or for the shop window but either way be benefited. I would hope he stays but if he goes ,go with class unlike mascherano to barca and basically be a legend.... ie someone we wish was still here unlike masch or torres who can be flipped the bird to on match day if they tuned up. sami hyppia and xabi alonso are legends who can turn up to our games and be idolised. that's what pepe could do. Begovic would be a good buy, i've put him in my FF team for years and even if stoke are conceeding his stats still rack up well. always making saves. Still hope pepe stays cos unti la barca offer actually turns up we won't be buying.
am i right in saying the only club he will be going to is Barca, ie very very unlikely anyone else,if Barca don't want him he will stay. if Barca want him, i hope they don't piss about and get it done as soon as poss ie haggle over price for months. Isn't there rumors they want another keeper though first, Tegen or something like that, so hopefully if the case that one is decided on very quickly as well, the quicker players leave who are going the better it will be for pre season prep, no last minute crap hopefully.
I would hope so but have no idea. The old press hack sniping stories that haters made up about utd and arsenal for me are false and were just that. Barca ALWAYS piss about though, they will try to get him for nothing. There are rumours they want 3 keepers i hear. If Pepe hears he'll be bench warming i think he'll stay here. If he's no 1 there he will go. My worry is we miss out on begovic and end up with barca knocking on aug 30 and pepe handing in a request. this is why i agree do this classy please. agree a fee and move and no press talk.
They came through the ranks side by side, they chose Valdes despite Reina doing well in 50 or so games. I'm sure they regret it now.
The good thing about the last minute Carroll deal is that Newcastle's price increases were just forwarded directly to Abramovich for Torres. If Barcelona want to buy on the last day we say fine but they pay "the cost of Begovic + £10m" or whatever and let them take the risk.
guys why would they? 4 titles in 5 years? champions leagues etc? why would they regret any choice made? Astro the issue is that carroll was a dog. if we go last minute the risk is others turn us down and we panic and buy some ****e. oh and stoke are in the ****e cos they bought the young lad from brum so everyone knows begovic is available so can they drive a high price? maybe but not so high we can't do it easy.
