Other issue here is the 20% of profit Tranmere are due................. even £10,000,000 bid ( which WON'T happen ) would see the fee DRAMATICALLY lowered! In that case, we'd receive nearer to £8mill.......... I have a feeling we may try to settle something with Tranmere if possible before he were to go.
The rumour is that Villa will/have put in a bid of £4.5 million... I'm not sure if this is an initial bid or whether this is stated as their top limit for Cressy Either way, if it's true then that is a lot of wedge and I think it would be difficult for us to hold them off for too long.. Personally I'd like a little more than that
The Jay Simpson that played for Arsenal, Millwall and Hull?? I'm not too sure what to make of that... atleast he was quick can't remember him being prolific but could do a job for us I suppose.. particularly at 24 he has potential to improve

Fantastic news about Tommy All the signs point to him wanting to stay here for the long term - definitely seeing a potential future captain in him. Purely out of curiosity, does anyone know what sort of wage he would be on now? Worth every penny in my opinion, but can anyone take a rough guess?

Jay Simpson looked like he was going to be a very good player in his Arsenal days however after watching him at Hull he looked like he'd gone completely off the boil, i geuss he's worth a try though had obvious potential at Arsenal and is still a decent age!! £4.5 million seems a decent amount of money for Cresswell, can't see us rejecting that tbh!!
