All arrived....just need to sort out the transport times and a watering hole that will open for breakfast! COYH
Can anyone think of somewhere convivial for lunch that will be easy for me to roll into in my wheelchair?
There is that Indian GG which is right by the car-park you will use - just under the Bobby Moore statue. They probably do a light lunch. Alternative is The Hilton by The Arena...
Thanks for the re-assurances on the tickets guys-- a double check shows it is indeed "Leicester/Watford"--- I think they are O.K! Now all I need to worry about is a breakdown in public transport.
All arrived "And I will drive1000miles, and I will drive 1000 miles, dudalada dudalada dudalada come on orns.......
More tickets going on sale from box office today - probably good seats - check the official website for more details - you will need to still have a booking history & still have allocation left.
I got my first pair of varifocals on the saturday morning that we walloped palarse 3-0 in the playoffs. I have just had a phone call to say that my new pair of varifocals are ready to pick up this saturday. Omen or what?
Yay, my ticket arrived this morning what a relief. On another note my train gets into paddington 11am was wondering where the best place for me to go for a much need pre match drink in or near wembley preferably with a mass of hornets!
"It's not the despair, Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand". ~ Brian Stimpson, Clockwise (written by John Cleese) This just about sums up the past few days, I feel like I'm learning its true meaning... Monday just cannot come soon enough!!!!
Tickets arrived recorded delivery and in a hand written envelope. Crikey! I have images of a Dickensian scene- lots of clerks sat up on stools hand writing tens of thousands of addresses. Thanks for the heads up on the pubs- will now see if I can establish the best chair-friendly ones.
Sudden thought- put tickets somewhere safe to avoid being scooped up in Mrs GG's periodic trawls for recycling garbage. They do look like vouchers for some cleaning product or other come through the door!
If you have a particular pub in mind and plan to watch the game there on t.v. (no stadium ticket but want to be close to the action) then give them a call beforehand. Many Wembley pubs close up to an hour before KO, and stay closed throughout the match.
Kingsbury's one stop north from Wembley on the Jubilee line and has a Moons and an irish pub called Hennessys - both are fine and I understand won't be segregated.
