Don't think that Arnesen was a failure at WHL necessarily, not as much as Comolli anyways, just the circumstance of his departure that rankles. And AVB is looking for a technical director with street smarts, so I'd never say never?
He was doing very well in terms of transfers up until Chelsea tapped him up and he forced a move. His role at Chelsea was different and I think the role at Hamburg is more along the lines of what we're looking at now. Had he not failed at both of those roles I'd have him back too, better to go for someone who's actually succeeding at the moment though.
