Yohan Cabaye - Done Deal?

    sorry if this is a repeat but only just got in from work -

    looks like we have all but tied up our top french midfielder and its not jeremy menez but fellow countryman Yohan Cabaye for a cheap 4.3m.
    looks like a good young player and plays a box to box role in the centre of midfield.
    im glad we have signed this sort of player (hopefully) becuase with barton maybe going and nolan loosing his legs a little but then a young player with flair and ability will really boost the team in the middle.

    While these rumours are exciting, it makes me wonder what the future holds for Guthrie, Gosling, Vuckic etc.

    He's got a lot of hype, but he didn't even impress me against Accrington Stanley. Maybe an off day...?

    He's going to need a long run of games before we can see how good he is, but we can't risk him here. For me i'd like him to go on loan to a top League 1 team.

    I always reckon if a young player doesn't get a chance, theres a good reason. The guys at the club see them play every day.

    Never seen Cabaye play but seems a great signing from what I hear of him

    Cabaye is quality, I am surprised Lille are selling him on the cheap. He is much better than Barton and Nolan. Very technical player good in possession, gets lots of goals and awesome set pieces. Honestly 4.4m is an absolute bargain!

    Barton surely is off then. Otherwise we would have: Nolan, Barton, Cabeye, Guthrie, Gosling, Tiote and Ryan Taylor.

    great if it's true but the thing that worries me is the spirit in the club everyone knows the main people responsible for this is barton/nolan and worryingly it looks like both of them don't have a future with us

    Hes not ready to play first team yet, he looks decent at reserves but needs a few more years before we put all our hopes on him.
