But you have an Irish accent yes?

Let's put it this way, when you are abroad on one of your myriad holidays, have you ever had a stranger ask if you were British?

    I'm guessing not.

You sound a little frustrated. Relax my fellow Brit.

No, I have a Belfast accent that is quite a good bit different from the southern Irish accent.

The ulster flag sunglasses or flag draped over my shoulders is usually a dead giveaway where I am from.

When you start speaking on holiday to people ask if there was a problem with the cabin pressure on the plane over?

Yeah, I've noticed that <laugh> Best part is, even though Medro's obviously quite clearly a complete spastic, they're bound by knuckle-dragging protocol to put on a collective face and back him up/arse-lick merely because they're all buns, whilst at the same time attempting to claim others do it.

About 300 years in the past, I would think.

Fellow Brit? I'm Jamaican. I might change my mind next week and be a kiwi? Or are you the only person who is allowed to pretend to be from somewhere they are not.

And no. I'm not frustrated. I am amused that you continually refuse to answer simple questions. It demonstrates how deeply insecure you are.

So a boy born and bred in Ireland with an Irish accent supports foreign team(s) and pretends to be British.

    Confused?

You're fine,I'm very familiar with the Belfast accent and when you say "quite unique"is that just you or are you speaking about the whole city?

The Belfast accent is distinctly Irish though? People don't think you are English when they hear you speak do they, they will naturally take you for what you are, Irish.

I've never met anyone from Norn Irn and thought to myself "This guy's obviously British". I don't think anyone with a modicum of common sense would either, even an ignorant Yank would know the difference between an Irish accent and a British one which would would typically be English. (in the mind of foreigners anyway).

For example, i've NEVER been asked if i'm British, i'm usually taken for being Scottish and on occasion, Irish.

Pretending to be from somewhere they are not?

    I'm from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

You don't sound amused, you seem frustrated.

I thought you were born in Landon?

I'm talking about the accent in general, not a hint of southern Irish in it.
