I think a bit of strength up there wouldn't go a miss. I 100% believe that Bayo and Cody would be just as effective of a partnership in L1 as L2. Saying that, I don't think we will get him, nice to dream though. I see Bradford for him, although maybe that is because I am used to seeing him in maroon.
Don't want Bayo back. We should be looking to the future not to our past. Kedwell and Cody already showed last season would be a good enough pairing. If we sign Bayo then we will just be taking a step backwards and drawing ourselves back into hoof-ball situation. Thanks but no thanks.
? Who was the guy running rings around Fish a season or two back at their place, maybe alwaysright will remind me. Was it Clovis Kamdjo. Although he might be a bit young for MA at 22 < lenny might be watching >
Quite a strange old game at times. This time last year we were debating whether we should be keeping Fuller and Weston, both of whom shone in our 2009 promotion side yet Weston will be playing conference football next season and Fuller has been released by a conference team. Especially Weston as on form he was a League One player.
I think it was Mark Marshall - good player - I think he's still serving his 2 year ban for drugs - shame because I would have loved to see him in a Gills shirt
This was the same fish that at the time everyone wanted rid of and was no where near as good as he's become! Would like to see a rematch barnet always seem to have 1 or 2 good players but they just aren't consistent enough, certainly not for league 1
Barnet 'sacked' Marshall ( released him at the end of his contract ) last year. He's still young ( 26 ) - if he's kept himself fit he could be worth a trial when his ban ends - January next year
I have a feeling that it may be that Fuller wants to stay in the football league as he is good enough for League two.
To be honest I would be very happy to see Barry Fuller offered a trial or something to come in as cover for Fish if he gets injured. Surely will be cheaper than he was before as he has now been released by a conference club? Worth a thought at least and feel he could thrive under Allen
I love how people think that we should sign everyone who has ever played for us , fuller just got relegated from League 2 ,
I love how people take what was said out of context. All I said was that maybe we should give him a trail as we need some cover for Fish as we didn't get Danny East and therefore we could do with another Right Back. Maybe I did suggest Fuller because he used to play for us but thats only because when he was with us he was constantly good, captained the team well, was a local lad and despite being released by a relegated team has experience of League 1 football with us.
Barry Fuller has joined Wimbledon upon Danny Kedwell's advice. "I have heard a lot of good things about AFC Wimbledon because I am best friends with Danny Kedwell,” Barry said. “Everybody knows about how the club has come through the leagues and I want to play a part in helping Wimbledon take another step. Danny spoke so highly about the club, including how good the fans are and the atmosphere around the place" http://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/article/second-summer-signing-more-836868.aspx
Antonio German has refused a new contract and we are understood to be keen on him http://www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk/west-london-sport/allsport/2013/05/28/109642-33397021/
Is he still under contract for another year at Brentford then? If he is out of contract why do we still have to pay compensation?
We have to pay a fee because he is under 24. This can be agreed between the clubs or it goes to a tribunal which usually means the buying club pay a trivial amount + add ons, as what happened when Ryan Bertrand left for Chelsea.
His contract is up at the end of the season I believe but we will still have to pay a fee like it says as he is under 24, think of the Matt Jarvis transfer, he was out of contract however Wolves still had to pay us as he was under 24.
