Is that the best you can come up with after your team was completely ****ing humiliated in front of the whole world.
You're right, we're not in it - but our ambition is to be in it and soon. There is one thing I picked up last night about your team, and one which if left unchecked could threaten future Champion's leagues. You're too consistent; You are a shoe in to win the league because you consistently beat teams at the bottom and in the middle, then give those at the top a run for their money. I'm not sure whether this is down to some superb training ground routine that allows everyone to stay fresh or not, but I feel if you really want to get up there and "break down the barca barrier," then you need 1 or 2 (especially in midfield) that are pure class, that can pull magic out of the bag. Ironically, you were beaten by a side with that exact element you need in it.
I agree, our midfield is a joke to the quality Barca have. Now to see what SAF buys in the summer, to address the problem
Not really bothered about Liverpool... Not really that shocked/upset about the result either... Barca are an amazing side, they showed it again last night. It wasn't even a case of us playing badly, they were just too hard to contain... There isn't anyone who can say otherwise. It was the Man City semi-final that really crushed me. Still, second place is more than i'd expected months back. Lets really work on bringing some steel to the midfield this summer, and then hopefully the prem can be retained. The prem is not going to easy next year, the top6 will all be strengthening.
Let me sum up a typical Liverpool fan. "Next season is our season". Yeah right. I'll not hold my breath.
