Bale, like all players in every team, is worth exactly what someone is prepared to pay him. Anyone who has bought or sold a house or flat, knows that this is the only guide to worth, not what anyone says, especially an Agent.
No player is worth 200k per week but this is the premier league so it may well happen. Bale staying will help attract other players so that may make worthwhile. Bale leaving would raise a huge amount of money which could help build a stronger team. Ultimately it will be bales demands and his decision as to whether he does a modric or berbatov which will decide if he is sold in this window or not. I just hope we buy our needed players before selling (if thats what we do) and early so we have a settled team when the season starts which we have not done for the past 3 or 4 seasons.
Personally I hope he stays until January and scuppers any hope of you actually playing as a team. It's often considered that the smallest book in the world was the Levy book of free gifts but it has been beaten out of sight by the Bale book of assists.
I wouldn't want him at Chelsea, I'm sure he likes to be the big fish in amongst the little minnows, and probably why he is staying, he would be lost in our pool of talent
He seems to be doing sort of o.k. On his own..seriously, he has provided any number of fantastic crosses into the box. Our problem is that there's nobody there to convert them.
That's hardly a measure between two teams is it. We play different teams for a start. Muddled thinking
Don't talk crap, of course it is, we only had the difference of 3 points due to all our games being played, if we had played our strongest players only during all the PL games it would have been a difference of a lot more points. Spurs only had the PL games to concentrate on.
Replace "talent" with "egos" Bale, like Ronaldo, like Messi, needs the team to be geared up towards him to get the best out of him. Messi and Ronaldo are so good that they can do that at even the very biggest clubs but Bale isn't ready for that, if he moved to a club of that quality I think he'd end up playing most of his time on the left wing not making the most of his ability. It seems Bale's prioritises becoming the best player he can be over racking up the most trophies, he's a clever lad.
You don't like to be proven wrong then, just come back with the same reply and a man with servitus dance What can I say, perhaps I have a strange taste in men, and its the white shirt and jeans that do it,
So you are saying we don't have talented players then what I like about Hazard, Mata etc is they don't have the huge ego's of some Or an idiot
