Getting Higuain at £19 Mil would be a steal. I know some on here do not rate him, but I think he is a quality player and has the potential to be one of the best. Also, he is totally different to Giroud and is the sort of forward that we lack.

 

Not true, that's their sporting director talking. We had the same issue last year with Poldi and Giroud. I think Jovetic is very expensive and his record doesn't suggest much for a player of the valuation (13 goals, 4 assists) Meh.

Rumours are the Arsenal do not want to meet the valuation set by Fiorentina, and I agree. Wenger values him at closer to 20-22million while they want 30-35. Not gonna happen I'm afraid.

 

Stupid club forcing up the valuation because Man City and Chelsea have given them a phone call to express "interest". It's up to the player to force a move to where he wants to go now.

 

I have a strong suspicion it will be Higuain we see in an Arsenal shirt this summer. I think Jojo was never a top target. That's just my sense.

 

I hope so, I would prefer Higuaine anyways. ( although I do rate Jovetic)


I'm surprised Wenger hasn't made a sneaky enquiry after Benzema. Real Madrid seem to be after Cavani and Wenger has tried to sign Karim back when he was al Lyon.

Right Yaya Sanogo has just completed his medical. Likely to be announced soon. Promising youngster.

In January our transfer budget was said to be around £70 Million. So I would expect it is somehere between £80-90 Million now.
Looks like Denilson, Chamakh, Fabianksi, Arshavin, possibly Gervinho and Bendter are all going to be off our books this Summer thus reducing the wage bill.

So yes we could afford him.

Ok then correction, You will not pay how much Real + Benzema would want to move. Also he wouldn't leave Madrid when he is a starter for them.

There is a long way to go in the transfer window. I would advice against providing signature lines for all next season, at this early stage in the transfer window, when everything is still largely unknown.
