MASSIVE risk that for Stoke. The way they play is so specific to them it will be a big change to alter it, which is presumably why they have sacked him.
Pulis is a dinosaur, in modern football terminology. But he knows his onions. Expect many Championship clubs will be after him.

Has he? He's certainly kept them up, but he's spent a fortune and still plays **** football, I'm not sure he holds much appeal for any other Premier League club(though I'd accept that many Championship ones would love to have him). Maybe he should move into baseball management instead, he got all the right hats?

I'd agree, he's done well there. Their "way of playing" won't be much different to most clubs who've gone up. It was effective and as long as it gets results i can't see many on here whinging if we did it. And everyone has to spend a lot to stay in that league. Or else you just yo yo between premiership and championship. Can't see him getting another job in the premier league mind.
I'd say he's done a good job at Stoke, took them to the Premiership and kept them there comfortably for a good few seasons, even reached an FA cup final. Not surprised he's gone though, guess things have gone a bit stale, and Pulis has definitely taken them as far as he can. I agree though, can't see a Premiership club going near him, but he will be linked to a lot of jobs in the Championship.
This could be a record breaking summer of new managers in the PL. I don't know what the record is, but I'm sure it's a record that'll be recorded somewhere, in the PL records.
He's kept them up comfortably every season and got them to an FA cup final. I'd say they're a similar sized club as yourselves (probably bigger now) so for that reason it's a fantastic achievement.
